I get it as well. Things happen and I think a majority of us (the community) understand there will be bugs. Players swings are wrong, faces need to be fixed, etc. The real concern is that the switch version is COMPLETELY unplayable. How does that happen? Did anybody either bother try playing the game? For the months leading up to the release SDS should have the entire office playing each other, with cross play on, playing on every single console. This reeks of having absolutely zero quality control/assurance.

Well I can only speak for myself I have no relationship with Ramone brev or any individual from sds
But what I do have is logical common sense, what I do have is a maturity level of a well rounded adult which keeps me from crying on the net bc I can’t play a game for a few hours
Something like this happens pretty much every launch of mlb the show is this your first year playing?

The only people that should be speaking about or demeaning refunds are switch players(luckily I’m not in that boat)

We all get it, I guess I'm just more patient and understanding about certain situations. I'm not happy that the game I dropped $145 CAD on is a bucket of the dog's regurgitated breakfast. But Id rather take say 85% efficiency for three and a half weeks if it meant at the end of that the remaining 15% would work properly.
I'm 100% not ok with the lack of communication regarding this issue...that should never be a thing with a community as large as this. They should have come out and said "look we're working on this, we'll make sure to have it rolled out by the April 5th roster update which will give us the time to properly test the fix"

I'm wondering if, with how paranoid they are about falling behind, Nintendo maybe forced SDS into releasing on the switch before everything could be properly meshed? But even last year I don't remember this many issue with Switch users

Reading these forums confirms my decision not to buy the game for the first time in many years. The seasons debacle and oversaturated 99s along with other things were reasons too but pre-ordering for an incomplete product was high on the list. I may buy it later in the season for a discounted price but I'm still enjoying p5 cards on 23 and playing Hell Let Loose.

@NCStateHokie Fair point about the game being unplayable right now, but it has run well since launch.
But the seasons are longer and fewer, they're back to a slow build to 99s, and we now have 4 wild card spots. It's not optimal, but not as egregious as 23.

They weren't allowed time to patch it properly? They have test environments (likely multiple) that mirror Production (Pre-Prod) and they have software that simulates heavy user activity and even bandwidth. They also have an environment for each system architecture (Nintendo/Switch/PS5/PS4/XBOX/PS Pro). They can simulate cross-play too.
Unless they missed it which is on them then they decided to release the update as is, which is also in them. I do this for a living and we miss things, but we also release as is sometimes because a cost-benefit analysis told us to do so. The number one job is to make money and while perfect game play can go hand-in-hand with that, when it comes to money (PR is money this early in the game cycle) or game play, money always wins out.
