Can someone explain for me

I keep seeing people say that once we unlock the boss cards they will soon become useless. What does this mean?
Last year you could use set 1 players all the way to set 3, you also had wildcards. What have they changed?

You can only use season cards in the season they are earned with the exception of up to 4 wildcards (we don't know how or when they are unlocked yet).
So if you get to Larry Walker or Jimmy Rollins a week before season 2 you can only use them for that week until you unlock wildcard(s).

There are just three seasons as opposed to six from last year. That makes this year's seasons significantly longer. You can't roll over your entire set of cards from this season to next, but you will have four wildcard slots. Apparently, they open through the XP path and you just start with one.
With seasons being longer this did not seem like a big deal to me, but it seems to really be bothering a lot of people.

@Skarmaen thanks buddy. So grind the next capped program to use the rewards from the last capped program. How incredibly stupid.
