First off, how does the XP Cap work? The daily XP Cap is 15,000 XP, and only affects XP earned through gameplay. This means that XP earned through various other areas in Diamond Dynasty are not affected by the cap. If you have already reached the XP Cap for the day, and you complete a section of a program that rewards 3,000 XP, you will still receive that XP reward. The cap exists strictly for XP earned through on-the-field activity, such as hitting home runs, tallying strikeouts, etc. The Cap does not impact XP earned by completing objectives in a program such as Spring Breakout.

Anyone read the patch notes for update 3 and their "explanation" regarding the XP cap?

SDS just flipped a bird to all the offline players saying to get more XP you have to complete the multiplayer programs (battle royale and ranked seasons).

    CLASSY!

I am not saying it should be raised to 50 to 60k like in the past but 15 k seems like too little --- I think the happy medium is 20 to 25k . I also think on the weekends Fri - Sat and Sun the cap should raise by 5k might be a solid compromise and I am not a fan of the XP thing but got to be some give and take

They should give a weekly xp cap as a good compromise. I understand the reason behind it but not all of us can play everyday and we fall behind.

I'm sorry, but if you're hitting the XP Cap DAILY, you probably need to step away for a bit. That is some serious gaming time that I think the majority of players just simply will never, ever reach. I understand the ire and the reasoning behind "We paid for a product, now let us play it how we want," but I also see SDS's side in this to mitigate no-lifers from pound-towning it for 8-12 hrs a day.

I might be a fuddy duddy who works his [censored] [censored] off six days a week and is getting tired of these complaints, but I sure as heck know that it's not the end of the world (or the seasonal progression path) if I don't play until Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon.

    Breathe people. Breathe.

After coming down from being upset and I am still really upset still I am willing to find a happy medium of 15k ( too dang low ) and what is was in the past. What blows my mind is how fans are making excuses for SDS and just accepting this without much of a fight. Have they brainwashed you all so much that you do not care ?

If that's the case next maybe they should charge 4.99 or higher for a season pass for each of the seasons . If they did this would you all go alright whatever cause at this pace that is coming next year. Maybe that idea is a little much but is it really considering this and how they care more about money then the players ?

I would be willing to accept 20 to 25 k but any less and that is a joke or I suggested this in another post -- keep it 15k Mon through Thur BUT raise it 5k on Fri to Sun to 20k

@GoldenGamingKM My time is limited. So when I get a chance to grind I will. But for instance I played one of team affinity maps strictly on all star and hit the xp cap during the game of my 8th game. The rewards are now locked at 1 million xp and xp has been cut in half from conquest games from every other year on each difficulty. This should have been explained pre release. They took alot away from this year including the collections for the live series.

@DEF266 You are preaching to the choir my friend.

I would love to grind, since my time is also limited, but I'm just happy being able to get a few hours in on the weekend between being a husband and father to a 9-month old. There are a lot of us with "limited time" but to treat this 15k cap as some kind of authoritarian end-all is simply childish.

Just one guy's unpopular opinion it seems.

You do you, but also realize there are thousands of other players with their limited time lifestyles not pounding down the doors of SDS.

Just remember that even though they raise the cap in Double XP weekends; it doesn't start over when that starts.

Ex: you play a Fri morning when they are having Double XP that weend and you incur 14K worth of in-game XP before 3pm PCT.

Once that Double XP starts; it doesn't erase that 14K and once you hit 15K; you can't play for awhile.

Best bet on Double XP weekends is not to start playing until it officially starts.

@GoldenGamingKM I agree with you entirely and they dont take that into account. Im extremely disappointed with this franchise. They take our money we spend for granted.

Giving us reasons to play less baffles me. But ok, fine. I’ll play less…..maybe I’ll stop playing altogether.

I think your jumping to conclusions. They used that as one example. The starter program was 10K XP. Spring breakout is 20K xp.

I'm willing to give them a chance to show that they mean all programs in general and I say that as an offline only player who is gathering XP really slowly at the moment.

I think adding a weekly cap would make the most sense though. Most adults don't have the same time every day to game, and when we do get time we try to make up for a week away from games with one really long session. Having a daily xp cap just punishes people who can only play a couple times a week.

Simply put, if they had announced this cap before the game released, I would not have bought it. If it is still in place at the end of the year, I will not be buying the next one or any future ones. Restricting how much people can play a game they paid for is complete BS. This is FTP garbage thinking. The cap was originally to prevent exploits. Now it is literally and admittedly to keep people from playing.

Am I the only one here that never even realized there was ever even an XP cap?

I mean… do something else, or play the game for fun, not XP…

Or take to the forums to complain…

I think a daily cap instead of cumulative isn't a good idea, but people that think SDS doesn't listen aren't paying attention.

It doesn't mean we will always get our way, but they definitely make adjustments based on people's feedback.

There is probably zero chance of any changes in season 1 as thats probably preplanned already, but perhaps they review for season 2.

Just thinking....does playing Franchise earn XP toward the current main Program in DD? If so, I'm thinking that's a negative because while you're earning XP in Franchise, you are also affecting how much content you can complete in DD before reaching the XP cap.
