It's really not hard to not buy packs, and buy the players you want.

@go4stros25 I guess only streamers and people that buy a [censored] ton of packs are going to be able to complete collections this year.

last year had just as many packs early in the year with all the future stars and WBC packs and people were able to complete collections
And these packs will likely be part of programs/conquests in the future.
Of course they will try to make some money first though, just dont fall for it -

You release packs after packs after packs but your game is a mess - hmm -- money over the players

I want to make something clear -- I know I can be negative about this game and SDS but part of it is seeing how a game and company have decided specially in the last couple years to put money over it's players for the most part. I have ZERO issue with a company trying to make money on a game that should be the goal BUT not at the expense of the players. I think SDS for the most part tried it's best to find a balance of making money and giving the players good stuff via content etc then last year happened.
Last year was legit the first version of the game that kind of felt like a cash grab of sorts and where making money came ahead and not just a little ahead but a lot ahead of making the players happy with the product. I have no idea what changed if SDS got a new exec that decided we need to use MLB the show to make stupid money like EA Fifa and such and decided we can squeeze the player base a little more.
All i know is this is what it is now and it sucks and want to make something real clear. I do not blame the people we see during content drop streams ( or the people they shout out doing the work behind the scenes ) cause I believe they prolly push back a little and without them it might be worse. However like I have mentioned I do blame the execs who have made it all about the money and do not value the players.

@blitz77tw yes but can you tell me how much it costs to have the likeness rights to Derek Jeter? Or the likeness rights to the Negro League Hall of Fame?
I don’t have a problem with SDS finding ways to create revenue when they’re clearly spending the money to retain big names like Jeter. Especially when you can still, very much so grind a competitive squad, spending ZERO dollars on top of your game purchase.
