Does anyone know why the live series 94 OVR Shohei Ohtani card doesn’t work with the Byron Buxton captain boost? Is it because he’s a pitcher?

He is a starting pitcher with secondaries in the field so he gets pitcher boosted stats not hitter boosted stats
