It’s fly balls only for me, my infield never makes mistakes on grounders or line drives, only fly balls hence it mostly being of that makes the mistakes

Don't worry, there's a new glitch that started last night. Now on passed balls and fouls popped up to the catcher, the catcher is frozen in place and you can't change defenders.
It's super fun in ranked when a dropped strike three ends up as a run for the other team.

Another thing I noticed that happened twice since the patch is the wrong fielder being automatically selected

^This!!!!, I had seen evidence of people having issues with fielding but I hadn't experienced any of it until the latest patch that was intended to fix the fielding.

I had it happen to three batters in a row in Conquest. Catcher just didn’t put up a glove for a pop up. Second baseman didn’t bend for a slow roller and left fielder just wouldn’t go inside the catch indicator. The only way to guarantee an out is by strikeout.

The glitches run in bathes , if you get one in a game expect another

Had it happen to my opponent I stopped at first and when he threw the ball in a went to second so he could tag me out - he then hit me on purpose? Thanks

They have these weird pre-set routes and animations that they force you into, I have a feeling that's what is causing all the wierd stuff to happen.

THEY JUST ARENT VERY GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO!
SDS is not a group of top shelf video game developers. why does everyone think these guys are competent?
the last 5 years the game is the exact same with tweaks to hitting. mostly bad.
pitching is the EXACT same.
graphics the same.
announcers the same.what's different??? oh that's right. Diamond Dynasty. Prices of packs have gone up. more things to spend your stubs on. they have done A LOT when it comes to collecting our money. they excel at that. however making a good video game? nope. this group is wildly under skilled. why do you think we have the same bugs year in and year out and have 34 patches? these guys are the guys who graduated with a 60 average. meanwhile the kids at the top went to Naughty Dog and Respawn.
stop complaining. they aren't good enough to fix this mess.

They got fat and lazy being the only MLB game out there.

It’s the 7th inning in my current ranked seasons game. 6 times my fielder hasn’t locked on. Unacceptable. Can’t realistically compete when I can’t catch the ball. Score is also 16-10 other guy because of it. 16-10 in the 7th lol

That's been happening for a while. Well atleast to me. Always selects fielder farthest from ball

how about this one...
a hard grounder to an infielder, then when said fielder catches ball, they just take off running in a random direction and you can't control them.

This is my 8th year playing The Show, and I have never posted here about fielding issues. Usually it’s occasionally buggy, but occasionally or affects everyone equally. Not now.
I had no major issues pre- patch 1.08. In the last 24 hours I have had at least six botched fly balls in LF and RF, and I’ve been playing MTO where it cost me games. Players are not locking onto the ball (one fly just whizzed past Mancini’s head, he didn’t even have his glove up), and several times it was locking in too soon. The outfielder started to camp early, I could see the ball was not landing close to him so I kept nudging him without success towards the marker, then he made that late awkward motion and missed the ball completely each time, getting past him. Twice there was no lock at all, and once it locked and my RF caught a one-hopper but then unlocked and he freestyled for a few seconds before I could regain control while the batter took second.
I’m scared every time a ball is hit in the air. This sucks.

I lost because of this and in another game Acuna took a liner in the throat, somehow not hurt... So realistic

Ive played 9 rs games. I refuse to go online until this [censored] is fixed. And if you wanted to send a message, you shouldnt either.
