So, is SDS showing us cards for the Jeter Storyline that comes out later?
Or...
Was I supposed to get Andy Pettite, Mariano Rivera, and Jorge Posada since I completed the all of Jeter's Storyline that we have access to?

The captain Jeter subway series confuses me too… shouldn’t it include Mets players?

Yeah if you did the missions that are on the side of the main track you should have got them all, if you look at the track their are some stops on the side of the main track, do those missions and you will get all those players, i believe there is 2 missions each for Posada, Rivera, Pettite.

There are some other paths then the main one. I completed the moment for the O'Neil card and didn't get it the first time, just tried again and got it and Polo Grounds.

Just a heads up if you complete a moment and don't get a reward just try the moment again. Just got captain Derek Jeter that way.

When they say 'Subway Series' its because you obtain the cards ny playing the Jeter Storylines that's set up like you're riding an NYC subway.
They're not referring to the WS, called 'The Subway Series' between the Mets and Yankees.
