Can't carry over 22 franchises into 23

I am still playing MLB the show 2020. I see no reason to purchase a new game. I had beef carrying my RTTS player over since 2014. That ended when they tied your RTTS player into DD. Which is a mode I NEVER played. Same with my franchise. I carried it over every year. A curtain player did not die in a boating accident and is having a hall of fame career. Some players in the Majors in real life never got out of the minors in my franchise save. So I have no interest in MLB the show 2021 or beyond until this changed

I think it’s because of the XBox and Switch. You can go from console to console instead of year to year in your saves. They probably can’t do both.

If you're mainly a franchise guy, there's no reason to buy a new game at this point because SDS isn't offering anything new. You shouldn't have to pay full price for a new playoff schedule, or removal of the shift. That should just be a patch.
I am a franchise guy and I totally agree with you 100% with what you said. But I can definitely say they're are new things coming to franchise it’s confirmed on their game description. How I found this out is on the PlayStation store you go and choose what version of the game you want and scroll all the way down on description of the game and I will quote this from exactly what it says “ FRANCHISE
Manage, build, and lead your team to World Series glory to become an annual powerhouse in Franchise Mode. Experience new features providing more in-depth and dynamic gameplay from March to October”So that caught my attention it said NEW FEATURES MORE IN-DEPTH is what really really caught my eye. Also seems like combining something from March to October into franchise mode really curious to see what that is about. These last 2 features premiers definitely one of them has to be about franchise I’m like 99% sure it will be after seeing this.

SCEA doesn't exist anymore,it became Sony interactive entertainment (SIE) in 2016.

So, Are you saying that my franchise in MLB 2023 will be unable to transfer to MLB 2024? When did this change? I use to play MLB 2017, 2018 and 2019 and I was able to transfer my franchise each year to the new game. This is no longer true? A franchise is now only good for one year?

I believe since 2021 when they made it for Xbox

That blows. I had only picked up 2023 recently to build my franchise and then transfer it to 2024! This just removed any incentive I had to purchase it. [censored] shame!

It’s worse. His entire franchise expires. Let’s say he built San Diego into a legitimate contender. Now they suck like real life.
