AS Rutschman

Any reason, other than once you unlocked him and he was available the rest of the cycle, they I see players using him over the Finest version?
-
I personally do not own the Finest Adley, and the only reason is the ASG card may be the best C (IMO) we have had in a long time.

See, I'm the opposite. But not by choice. Because of my stroke; I missed half of Season 2, All of Season 3, and half of Season 4.
So I unlocked Finest Rutschman before the AS one. By that time; I already have the Finest to P2, so trying to compare the two was a little skewed.
I do know, at least IMO, the Finest versions of some players (Elly and Trout just to mention two) are attributes wise worse that their previous 99s.
I guess it's just personal preference.

I don't have the Finest, but I've placed an order because of this thread. Now I want to try the card out. I have the AS card to P3 and enjoy using it. I put his progression on hold until I got Mauer to P5, but that is done and now I'll work on Adley. If the Finest is that much better, I'll ditch the AS card and start over with the Finest.
Edit: The order went through very quickly. When I look at the cards side-by-side, the AS card is better, attribute wise. This is probably because I have the AS card at P3, though.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X First off so sorry to hear about your stroke, I know all to well about playing the game with not full abilities in my hands or my vision but love the game and challenge too much to quit now. IMO outside of the Finest Harper all the other Finest cards of players that already had a great 99 ( ex JRod, you said Trout and Elly) I think are a lesser version even just a bit below the other card available. Oh, I almost forget the Belli Finest is better than the monthly but again it is just IMO, I think a players swing is a swing is a swing, if you can hit with a player the card's attributes only add to the better outcomes in the long run.

@MrDeweyCoXX
Agreed that a few of the finest cards are better but Adley, Trout, and Elly definitely have better 99s in the game that were released previously. They are good alternatives but if you want the best versions they are almost always going to be either Chase cards or collection rewards.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X finest Adley is a BR reward if im not mistaken, the time taken requires some time.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X
The ASG card is the better of the two at P5. The ASG Adley has +8 PWR R and +8 PWR L over the Finest card.
-
I just picked up the finest Adley, I was shocked about how much it was considering last time I checked it was 1 million stubs, I currently have the ASG Adley at P4 so looking forward to using the finest once I get him to P5

Yeah. I completed the program to get him when it dropped. Up until I got him; I used his Captains card.
I'll have to check out the AS version.

The price for the 2023 Finest is shockingly low, but I need a break from the game to get that hunger again. I usually do in February.
I can't see how much better we can get from that AS version, though.
