I use button throwing... I've used it for years because I'm terrible with the meter. I've never had issues in the past with throwing inaccuracies so consistently like I have the past few weeks. Every single pick off move I make, the ball is thrown off the bag. The amount of easy double plays that have been wide throws pulling an infielder off the bag at second base. I just finished a game where I caught the guy in a run down and he was safe because THREE TIMES in that run down, my guys threw the ball wildly. Not only that, but I couldn't move my player when the ball was thrown into the infield to chase down his baserunner. I have a pretty [censored] good roster, this should not be happening at the rate it is.

Am I missing something? I know defense has been horrendous so far this year, but I'm losing patience with some of the things that have been reoccurring rapidly.

Not trying to be mean but that’s what you get for not using button accuracy. You let RNG determine your throws so if you have an average fielder, he’s gonna make alot of errors

The meter really isn’t that hard.

Not being mean at all, I get it. Just dunno how all a sudden its been an issue? Has never been this inconsistent... I mean every pick off move, and those throws in a rundown. Idk.

How come all the sudden its been an issue then? Have never been this inconsistent...

I don’t have the answer to that question man. All I know is if you master the meter, you’ll never have a throw go off-line again

That’s a lame response. I’ve used button fielding for years and never experienced unforced errors to that extent.

I feel this kind of “git gud” reply is just a rationalization of the game’s flaws.

Even if all the unforced errors were purely his fault, he should be able to chase the ball down.

I get it but yeah, the rate it is occurring for me is unmatched. It's simple throws too.

It was far from a “git gud” reply. All I did was stating the facts. Button fielding, you give the game control of the outcome. Button accuracy, YOU control the outcome

I know I know. Fielding matters. Look, even if we leave the throw on the rng, which is effectively what you’re doing by using buttons, MLB players just don’t make that many errors.

Truth be told, I am not seeing the type of throwing errors OP is describing. If you’re smooth, these kinds of things don’t happen that often.

I also think “the facts” as you’re putting them are just not accurate right now. There were numerous reports earlier in the year of this same kind of thing happening with button accuracy as well.

I’m not trying to argue with you, but I just think we as a community need to hold the game makers accountable instead of turning on each other.

    Cheers.

That's cool you're not seeing them, doesn't mean everyone is though so don't assume that

I have seen crazy “not-being-able-to-move-my-fielder-while-the-runners-round-the-bases” problems, which I think is probably the more egregious of what OP described, though.
