    Yeah, so I know lots of you are good at this game and will find this post irrelevant.

    That said, I’m playing an inordinate amount of RS games between two players who dominate on the mound but can’t hit a lick.

    The latest one was my Luzardo vs my opponent’s John Donaldson. With 9 total hits and zero runs in the game, my opponent quit in the 10th after running into an out at third with the ghost runner.

    I’m happy for the win, but I’ll admit this kind of game is not much fun for anyone.

    The vast majority of players I run into simply cannot hit anywhere near how well they pitch. Every year, there are new “how to hit” videos by various streamers.

    Quite simply, the game is way too easy to pitch well and way too hard to hit well. I get that the elite level 700 and over players are in a different category but this imbalance needs to be addressed IMO.

    My .02 cents on Christmas. Cheers everyone!

    I have no idea, I hate 0-0 pitching duels, but I also loathe 15-12 games. And I can't pitch well in most all-star games, and can't hit well in most hof games.

    It's just really one big lose/lose situation.

    Haha! I’m glad I’m not alone in this!

    I guess it’s problematic trying to make one game for such a wide demographic.

    Team builds. Use those captains. Put on the uniforms, play at different ballparks, use cards you normally wouldn’t, you might just find some you hit well with 🙂

    I had a game yesterday where I was stomped, facing Randy. Two of my 4 hits were HRs with lefties (snapshot Blackmon was one). Started the next game and I blasted 3 HRs in the 1st, and he quit in the 4th. Seems to be the pattern for me in RS.

    @BJDUBBYAH
    True, my theme team games tend to be more fun.

    @The-Buddy9
    I mean, it’s a video game, so it’s absolutely supposed to be fun.

    I get that ranked is the competitive mode so, if you prefer, substitute “fun” for functional. The way it is now, many games simply just don’t really work properly, even IF a realistic simulation is the goal.

    At the end of the day, MLBTheShow has competitve edges. People that dont play on a 1MS response rate monitors are at an extreme disadvantage.
