Vision rating makes no sense..
-
Attached is a screenshot from a game last night comparing vision for two different batters.
First batter is FOTF Soto with 70 vision during the first inning of the game. PCI is decent size. Second batter is silver Biggio with 85 vision during the second inning of the same game. PCI tiny.
How can the higher vision batter have a smaller PCI?

Because pci size depends on more than just the vision rating... contact rating, clutch rating, pitcher confidence, pitcher H/9, K/9, clutch, runners on base, situation in the game all play a part in pci size

With exception to the contact and clutch ratings, wouldn't the other factors that you indicate play a role in Biggio's PCI being bigger than Soto's given the score+runner on base+second inning?

Looks like you have the outer PCI ring turned off. This year, Vision impacts only the outer PCI ring. The inner ring, which is what you have visible, is purely a representation of the batter's Contact rating.

I would say no but I don’t know enough how the confidence rating works to say it would be higher with a runner in scoring position with no score then a runner on first trailing
