Your favorite super expensive card

I bought MS Elly Day 1 but I haven't hit as well with it lately. Still using it sometimes. I was saving stubs for MS Acuna but they had other plans so I'm still sitting on those stubs. No idea what to splurge on, other than maybe MS Trout, that's definitely an idea.

I bought MS Trout but only used for a little during TA5.
I also bought Finest Harper; but haven't used him yet since I'm working, don't know why, on the current BR program.
Hoping they release a better Mantle here soon.

Orlando Cepeda Charisma probably the least used 99 card in game. Most hate his swing. Love using his card.

I purchased two expensive cards this year so far. One was the Elly card that set me back nearly 300k at the time. The other was that Reggie jackson card that set me back about 220k. I sold the Jackson card back after a week of trying with it but I’ve been very pleased with the Elly card. It was the one that commemorated him hitting for the cycle earlier in the season. I should say I’ve purchased several other cards such as Shlomo (love saying his name) but those others were by far the most expensive. I’d love to have that Tony Gwynn card at some point but I’ll have to wait until it shows up in packs or something after the game cycle ends. Oh I purchased a Degromm card too earlier on but I wasn’t too pleased with it personally so I let it go the way of Reggie.

First off great question, I will preface this by saying I am 100% off line player, in fact have never had a PS+ acct, reason being I am blind (one eye left w/ glaucoma) I have been playing MLB since 2008 on PS2 and now have '23 on the PS4. The game allows me to use the little eye sight I have left to enjoy my favorite sport playing, watching and reliving all the baseball cards I used to buy/sell/trade in the sports card industry over 35+ yrs span. So with all that being said for context, I have really enjoyed the Lighting Fernando Tatis Jr. card. I believe I paid 282,000 stubs for him but he has brought hours of enjoyment in my life and I believe I am nearing 200 hrs runs with him, I have him at P5 #42/###

Oh the stories I bet you could tell. I had forgotten all about that card. Add that to my short list of cards I’d like to have. I’ve given it a look a few different times myself and just didn’t have enough stubs at the time. I’ll have to put that one on my watch list. Some of the best times of my youth were spent at the local card shop so bless you man

@arvcpa Did you buy Mantle? He's about the only guy I want to buy. If so let me know how he is.

@arvcpa
Mantle is worth it just for defense. Hands down the best defensive CF I have seen this year. -

Commerce Comet was my only expensive card purchase although I’ve never been able to hit with Mantle. I still can’t hit with him but I still got him.

I think Mantle was the Core collection reward in 2020, and I was horrible with him. I think he was a TA reward in 2022, and I loved that card. So... maybe I'll take him for a spin.
