    @Thelibero

    You should be able to set your slider when finding a match so you will get matched up with people in your skill range.

    @virusrev How do you do that? I think I’ve seen it done once before.

    @Thelibero
    It only works in ranked. But when the slider starts going to the right, press the left d-pad to stop or return it to the start.

    Br or events is a crapshoot.

    @virusrev I’m not exactly sure what you mean. When does a slider go to the right?

    I saw someone once out of no where change the pitching to veteran or whatever. I was actually able to hit the ball! But I have not seen it again. I remember it happened while we were waiting for something.

    @Thelibero
    When searching for a RS H2H opponent, the matchmaking slider will move to the right. The further to the right it goes, the less even the match could be.

    Therefore, do not let the matchmaking slider get too far to the right. Maybe count to 4-5 seconds, and if you do not get a match, back out then try again.

    The match difficulty will be based on the higher ranked participiant. Therefore, review the official Handbook, and under the Ranked Seasons section, note the difficulty values for each RS division. To avoid higher pitch speeds, back out of the matchmaking process before the matchmaking slider gets to 700. At least then, you will know that your match will be at All-Star pitch speeds, at most.

    Note that 200-699 is All-Star gameplay format, while 199 and below is Veteran. Veteran pitch speeds are really slow and I doubt you will find many opponents to play against on that level.

    As mentioned above, you can just hold the left analog stick to the left and the matchmaking will stay within the range shown. Ideally, you can just play vs opponents in your same 3-400 range.

    Of course that is no guarantee that you’ll escape the “uneven gameplay”. Unfortunately, many of the most annoying opponents seem to be in this range.

    I saw some one change the level of pitching while waiting for something to load. They lowered the difficulty. Is that some kind of cheat? Is there a way to do that?

    That was probably a game vs a friend, or in a league, assuming there are still leagues in 23.

    @halfbutt Nah man. It was a ranked game. I don’t have friends that play and never played in a league.

    Well, the only mode I know of in DD where you can select difficulty and stuff is the “play vs friends”.

    🤦‍♂️ how is this type of intelligence able to breathe and hold a controller at the same time 😂 just messing with you kid. I’m a 4-700 player and I feel your pain but practice and even a 700 player can be competitive. I’m mostly on the losing end myself. I have a 700 wins 800 lose record but I still have a blast in the game. I play on switch so I’m sure if I wasn’t poor and had a ps5 I’d probably make World Series with all the practice I do.

    BxnnyMxn is correct. The sliders don't affect anything at that time of year. I am playing an older version, and online I get 1% newbs using this version to practice for the current year so they can protect their stats, 2% of guys like me (approx 400-500), 40% cheesers, who are trying to get you to quit so they can unfairly reach a level they would never reach on a new game, which is really sad, because they will get a banner that nobody cares about and a pack of cards.

    The majority of my games are against legit 1000 level goons and it's already over by the end of the first. I keep telling myself to keep grinding for my programs, but it can be maddening at times when you are just trying to get your guys leveled up, and you end up mostly getting matched against guys where the game is just you helping them pad their stats.

    FYI turn off communication. All you are going to get is trash talk. It's one minor victory you can get.
