The pack in the store says the items can't be sold, but they are in the market?
Why would anyone spend 85K for the card when they can buy the pack and get it for 50K?
    I don't understand.

Hey - haven't heard from you in a while! I hope you are doing well!!!!!!!!

Yep, I'm still plugging away. I'm hopeless when it comes to baseball...I love it and this is my way of having fun with it. Not all of the video game is bad...I just hold my breath and try to not turn blue when I come across the parts that frustrate me.

This just seems unfair to Red Sox Fans.

    99 Overall Yankees
    97 Overall Tampa Bay Rays
    96 Overall Boston Red Sox

    He played

    11 Years in Boston
    5 years in NY
    2 years in Tampa Bay

All of his top MVP finishes and best years were with Boston.

It will be the Yankee's 4th Retro Finest Card (Mattingly, Posada, Ford and Boggs) while the Red Sox have one (Jason Bay)

I would really be fascinating to hear how they decide on some of these things.

Chicken Man is age 29 which was when he hit 24 homeruns and had an OPS+ of 174 and had 8.4 WAR. The 99 card is age 36 when his OPS+ was 142 and had 4.5 WAR. 🤔

Completely random as usual. DD is fantasy with juiced up stats but some attachment to players career years on appropriate teams would be nice every now and then.

I smell a Yankee fan on the development team for sure.

To say nothing of the fact that this was the strike shortened year that cost all us fans the World Series and Gwynn his shot at immortality by batting .400. He’d have gotten it that year im just sure of it as he was at .394 when the stoppage was announced on Aug 11 and was absolutely on fire hitting close to .500 in those first ten days of August….something I highly doubt anyone there at SDS even knows or even cares about (and certainly no one there remembers lol)

I certainly agree with your Yankees theory

It’s pretty clear they favor big market teams like the Yankees, show very little love to small market teams like the Royals, and favor young prospects over the true legends of the game like Mays and Gehrig. I’m not saying neglect the former, just balance it better with the later, and the game would be much better balanced and appeal to all fan bases and generations.

I feel that with people like us they think we will just always buy the game no matter what so they cater to the casual fans who come and go. Almost like they value them more than us because they feel we will just buy it anyways. I’ll use off position fielding as my example. They made it realistic where guys off position made lots of mistakes and casuals rioted so now everyone is a platinum fielder at any position.

Good point and I can understand that on catering to casuals and newbies. I just wish they wouldn’t take the loyal players for granted. I only complain because I know things could be so much better and praising garbage only gets more garbage. The fielding is my number 1 gameplay gripe in the game and by far the most unrealistic with the Superman dives, robbing HRs and rocket throws right on the mark from subpar fielders. Again a little accuracy would go a long way.

I’m again assuming things but maybe they are hoping those casuals will stick around and keep buying it if they cave to their demands. Give them their overjuiced Schwarber on repeat 3 times a game for example when in reality he’s barely a silver.
