Captain glitch

To late for this year; but, if they keep them, SDS needs to patch where they HAVE to STAY in your starting lineup or your players lose that boost.
I can see it being allowed with pitchers; but ANY Captain boost from a batter SHOULDN'T be allowed if that Captain doesn't play the WHOLE game.
Evidently you don't even have to sub them out during the game. You can now do it in the lineup screen before you commit to play.
Just had someone have the Rollins boost and Rollins was on their bench when the game loaded.

I think its even worse than that. It seems like now you can get the captains boost without even having the captain on your squad. If you watch this video he is getting credit for the Jimmy Rollins boost but has the retro finest Jimmy Rollins not the captain Jimmy Rollins. There is another where he gets the Cal Ripken boost without Cal anywhere on the squad. Not sure if this is a new problem or has been like this all year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQa2lpVZMlQ

As long as the captain is in the game when my lineup screen is on, i can change himout before the preview screen and still get credit!

@baseball229056 hmmm, yep just watched the video. He has 99 retro jimmy in lineup, and has cpt boost. How is that even possible? Game doesn't allow ya to have two different cards of a player on the roster at once

I posted this as a way to let SDS know, even though it's to late for this year, that it needs patched; if they're bringing Captains back.
I didn't post it so others could also abuse it.

I wish SDS would just make a post how to do it so everyone can run their favorite theme team. The glitch actually made team captains fun and usable for theme teams especially with set 6 around the corner.

@Bearsfan217 yea I watched a few times because I thought I was missing something obvious but I can't see anything. He is definitely getting the captain boost but has no captain anywhere on the field or bench.

I don’t see why you guys care about this that much. Every card is loaded to the gills anyways I havnt given 1 second of thought to captain boosts or who has them. I’m just not convinced someone having 125 contact instead of 119 contact is going to increase their results. In my experience people can either hit or not hit in this game and choosing who to put in your lineup based on wether they have SS secondary or 99 durability instead of who has a swing that actually plays in game doesn’t seem like a actual advantage to me.

@Redd666ish here is the problem. Dude is receiving the CPT Rollins boost without even having the card on his roster. (Not on his bench either) Did you even watch the video? He has the 99 retro finest Rollins on his roster, not the 95 Cpt Rollins. YET, he is getting the Captain boost. THIS is a problem. You are the problem

Why is he the problem for saying he doesn’t think captains bring value anyways? Did you even check the rest of this guys roster to see if he actually is boosting anybody else? Maybe he just took Rollins out and put Rollins in and is oblivious he still has the boost. Why is everything some nefarious plot to destroy the universe through MLB The Show?

@Redd666ish I just started last week. When you have a team full of 95's and your opponent has all 99's and +15 boost on all cards it can make the butthole pucker a bit. Just saying.
