The game is way too hard

Re: A Little Disappointed this game is way too hard even on rookie you have to scratch and claw to get every run. It’s so unenjoyable they make you grind against the computer which is a horrible experience for over 400 hours why is this game so bad how does anybody enjoy this?

Wow this is a hot hot hot take. Maybe try soccer
-
My last game vs the CPU on rookie.
CPU CPU L 1 3 0 Firefighters CPU W 44 48 0
Granted it was at Costco park against the A's to earn PXP with the cards earned in the moments for the current program.
This is also the most I have ever scored in a game vs the CPU. I was home team so I did not even bat in the bottom of the 9th.

@FusedJESSEMAC At some point, you hace to admit maybe it is not the game, maybe its you...
-
@Dolenz so yes, the game is too hard. You should have scored at least 60.
-
The game plays weird on Rookie. Most have found that out. I scored 55 on Veteran a few weeks ago, so try Veteran difficulty if Rookie is too hard

Do this - change your hitting to timing. Zone is sometimes way too hard to learn for a new player. Timing hitting is just that, you time the pitch and hit the button. It's a good way to learn how to hit in the game. After you've passed, that, then try directional and so on.
For pitching, again do button pitching. All you do is choose your pitch and location and press the button. Pulse may also be a better option here which is what I use.
Good luck!

LOL, I know, what can I say? I am a center swinging plebe of a player.

I’m not sure I would agree that it is WAY too hard, because sometimes the game is also WAY too easy.
I would argue that the gameplay is simply WAY too manipulated.
I think it’s funny that you have choices between sim, casual, and competitive at the beginning because the gameplay isn’t ever based on user input alone. It’s ALWAYS a simulation.

Way way too manipulated, especially the timing windows, a pitcher I've already hit off of and here comes a same side matchup and very late on a middle in FB at 94 yet in same at bat will get a 97 in roughly same spot that I clobber, or face a starter throwing 92-95 and can't touch him but next inning an outlier comes in and I cant miss the 100+,and the rp is a lot better h9 k9 than the starter.
-
I agree, the timing windows do seem to be really inconsistent. It is what it is. I get that there needs to be some level of simulation because the game strives to be “realistic”, but I would prefer “fun” over “realistic”.

Just late is the meta this year.
Just early and early was the previous couple games
-
@lewisnadasurf1 perfect is the meta, get your perfects up.
-
Outlier makes this game hard for me. Its the death of me

I guess if you had to generalize, pitching is too easy and hitting is too hard. Or, maybe just pitching is too easy.
