Cool down period

I doubt anyone at Sony over mid-level execs are aware of this game or studio.

This needs to be addressed, the principe of this is good but the execution is brutal. Promoting sticking out the games and negating the quitting after one home run is hit is good, but did nobody really think this through? How are we this far into launch and the game is already forcing you to not play.
If freezes are a thing, then take away the cooldown penalty and just apply an increase to rating loss if you quit. Simple. If you quit you lose your regular formulated amount plus and additional amount. In no way shape or form should a video game prohibit you from playing. It’s either sit here for hours or days and wait out a freeze or quit and then get this cooldown timer. Either way you can’t play the game. This needs to be hot fixed asap

It’s just co-op. After my latest freeze off up 7-0 I went for a 2 mile walk and the dudes still stuck it out so I quit because don’t care. Hour cool down on co-op but can play ranked.

If you’re playing your not spending money on packs full of 99’s that you cant use in 3 months

No there not,they are a line item on an expense/profit report that no one ever reads

There should be NO PENALTY for being forced to quit a game due to the game freezing
That’s not a player issue that’s an sds issue- no players should be penalized in any way if they quit during a freeze

They obviously want some system in place to deter people from quitting. It makes sense, but there isn’t a feasible way to do it with freeze offs continuing to happen.
The point of video games is to have fun and enjoy your hobby. I play this game to have fun, and now I can’t. I’ve never seen a game not allow me to play for a reason such as this cool down. So instead of playing MLB, SDS is forcing its users to go play another title. Most bizarre strategy I’ve ever seen.
If people want to quit every game, so be it. Who cares. There’s no advantage to just quitting out and sand bagging your record. What’s the point, to just win a game. Congratulations you’ll have a 15-50 record. If someone wants to play that way more power to them. They’re enjoying the game and doing what they want.
Take the cool down away, nobody wants to sit in a 3 day freeze off against someone. Either way we can’t play the game with freezing or the penalty.

I just hit a home run on the 3rd batter of the game in co-op, the other team raged quit off of it and now I'm stuck with a 4 hour and 14 minute cooldown. They really need to get rid of the cooldown because 99% of the time I get a cooldown is due to a freeze off, or just what I described. I've gotten a cooldown because the game was talking to long and had to go to work. This is complete [censored]. I can play COD and never have a freeze off or a timeout due to their server issues, but MLB can't keep servers from having issues. In over 10 years of playing COD, I can count on one hand servers being down. On MLB, I lost count this year alone.

You don't get the cool down penalty if the other team quits.

Cooldown fix for PlayStation players. If you’re in a party with a friend playing coop and it freezes, just have one friend back out. The friend who backs out will get a cool down no matter what.
so if you get a cooldown have your friend in the party go into there party chat screen and click their name, you can invite your friend to your coop diamond dynasty ranked game even if they have a cooldown it doesn’t matter. Just make sure the non cooldown person goes into the coop ranked screen where it shows find a player or add, then invite from there.(If you click your coop partners name in party chat, you may have to click their name again and view profile on PlayStation and invite from that) I probably explained it bad but if you have a question just ask
