lol that happened to me too! Took me several attempts before I was able to steal without the guy fouling the ball off or putting it in play haha finally got lucky and made it.
It never even occurred to me that it mentioned Honus Wagner yet was performed with Bae lol that does seem odd?!! Why didn’t I notice that haha -

Are you sure? On my screen Bae is the batter and Honus is the base runner.

Interesting. I never paid attention to what the runner looked like. I went on the first pitch and made it easily. I’m going to go back and do it again now, just to see.

I just did it again and Bae is the batter and Wagner is the runner. As soon as the pitcher's foot moves (and the animation doesn't go into slow motion - you'll see that in his hands before his foot moves) take off.

I watch the catcher, when he moves I go. Also if you press the left control stick towards first, you should never be picked off.
