Maybe it’s because I’m 40 and the first console I ever remember using was my dad’s Atari 2600, but I will never understand complaints about the graphics in this game. Looks incredible to my ancient eyes. I’ve been playing this game for a while, so I’ve seen better gameplay and I’ve seen much worse gameplay. It absolutely needs serious improvement, but it’s not enough to drive me away if I’m being honest.
But the content schedule has been a disaster this year. Maybe not quite enough for me to swear off buying MLB 24, but I have never played this game less than I have been playing it this year. By an enormous margin. Really hoping they return to their senses. If not and this trajectory continues, I can see 25 being a pass from me.
This isn’t enough for me not to buy the game, obviously, but they need to completely clean house in the card art department. The worst I’ve ever seen by far.

I don't make video games and neither do you but it should be obvious that your comparison is apples to oranges. There are 24 basketball players to 52 baseball players that need to be made and present during the game. Baseball stadiums are a lot more complex than a basketball arena (and up to 3 times as many fans in the stands) and I’m sure all of that limits what they can or cannot do with their players.

Sets and seasons are a good thing if executed well, they missed the mark on a couple things but, I'm enjoying the gameplay this year more than any previous year. A lot of people miss mlb 21 because the grind was so easy and every good card was free, I never liked that in my opinion it was bad for the game.
Your first 10 words make sense compared to just assuming EA will miraculously make NCAA good when their NFL product has constantly gotten worse. This was their first time doing something new. It’s outside the box thinking and hopefully they will take feedback from us and make it better.
Have you played madden in past years or even this year? Theres this giant assumption that EA is horrible. EA isnt great, generally no sports games are great, they are all the same thing every year, they all copy paste general things,, add in a couple features that were already in the game and people oo and ahh. NCAA football being brand new again will be nostalgia for people, road to glory, dynasty mode etc. It's going to be some major competition when it drops.
You’re assuming again about NCAA. You have zero clue what will be in this new game. As for your previous comment of rosters. EA got sued twice and lost due to using real players so yes people played the game because they got real players just not their names. Good luck selling the game on people if only a fraction of the players are real and the rest are made up works of fiction like the NCAA version of Mega Baseball.
Brother no one is buying ncaa for the players in the game, do you not understand how many people adore ncaa football as a whole? The game will be very popular as it’s the first ncaa game since 14, They have said those features like road to glory and dynasty are returning. It’s okay to love mlb and realize they will have some major comp next summer.
You literally referenced a person who sold memory cards with the names of the players done for the lazy people who couldn’t name the players themselves. A thriving business mind you. You don’t remember your own posts. Casuals like you might dump baseball for college football.

Importing rosters isnt memory cards, its done through the vault similar to mlb?? I never said anything about memory cards and casuals lol I'm far from casual, I have every TA done, Mookie and Kluber collected, waiting on the next batch of Topps now so i can get to 230. so before you say "casual" just know i have probably more time on this game then you could imagine.

Its okay to acknowledge a new sports game that hasnt been around since 2014 and say "yeah that might intrigue MLB to do more mid summer" MLB needs to change how TA is done, its the same grind over and over, and I dont mind it, but i'm not most. Nobody sold memory cards lol at least not to my knowledge but in game people create custom rosters all the time, and upload them every sports game does that.

There was no roster vault for NCAA football on PS3. You purchased the rosters on your thumb drive or memory stick. Whatever name you use call those things. I was referencing PS2 technology.

Is anyone really gonna buy the game if there aren’t serious gameplay and graphical improvements? They’ve had so much time to upgrade their game and take advantage of next gen hardware… but it still looks like we’re playing a PS3 game.
If it's on Xbox Game pass, I'll play it. If not then no.
-
I probably won't be playing, even with gamepass. This game isn't fun anymore with this certain type of issues they refuse to address. I don't play madden or NBA, so those games/problems are irrelevant to me. You would think the devs would take advantage of chatgpt and its tool to help with coding.

Loved this game. The gameplay was good and it felt like user input was more rewarding than Madden. I liked the college atmosphere with the fight songs, the pregame stuff, the stadiums, Etc. The recruiting stuff was also pretty good, although I hope the new game goes deeper in that area.
I remember purchasing the roster file on Ebay however, just so I could import that into the Madden franchise mode draft.

Have you played NBA 2K and seen the level of detail? It has nothing to do with players on the field, fans in the stands.

Yes, I have played the game. As I said neither of us create games but I would be willing to bet the size of the game factors into the amount of graphics in the game and NBA2K is more than double in size of a game as MLBTS. Perhaps the makers of the game figure people won’t devote so much space to baseball. I would but I’m not the one running around this forum mentioning other sports games.

Whatever the rosters are, it wont matter, people do not buy ncaa games for the rosters, college sports rosters vary every year, its going to create competition for mlb.
