Great Race - weird Mission - 12 RBI in 4 or less online games

The last Mission listed says "Tally 12 RBI's in 4 or less online DD games". So, if I want to do this, RS is probably the best, except if my opponent quits after 1 inning.
Am I reading this right? If I don't get it in the first 4 games, does it count as a "fail"?
Weird.

Don't need it for completion; just run 2 more off line games with great race players.

No you don’t have to do this missions, just play a 9 inning game and get the PXP required for the repeating 5 stars

the mission seemed to reset after 4 online games for me. Luckily got it done in event games but i definitely was not a fan of trusting other people to not rage quit

Wait, can this be done vs CPU? I thought it was ranked only.

No this one must be done head to head vs another person, Events, ranked, etc. Can't be done ve the cpu. The hit 3 home runs in 1 game 3 times is against the cpu in conquest.
