The game design this year isn't conducive to 'fun'. Normally I don't mind a good grind, just pop on some music, a movie, audiobook, etc. and I'll eventually get through it. But this year the grind really doesn't stop (exception - when they just disappear for 2 weeks during a season). Even with this setup I'd still probably be ok with the massive grind, the problem is that the rewards are mid as can be, and only useful to collect for the cards we really want. So grind a lot for 1-2 great cards, or grind a ton for 3. Repeat every 8 weeks. And I do mean repeat, every TA has been the same.

I keep going back to memories of '21. TA that year was so good. The actual team rewards were fantastic, tons of packs & stubs. There was none of this 97 all year nonsense, none of these cards that won't ever see the light of day after their missions are done.

I'm only still playing for the programs I do enjoy, namely POTM. I still like conquest, though I think they really should add auto complete of the map once all the strongholds are taken. But then, even in CQ the pack rewards have been lackluster compared to prior years.

The real reason for all the game's shortcomings this year is the increased focus and push for more microtransactions. Games never get better when that becomes the main goal of the developers. And unless this game is a financial loser for SDS it's only going to get worse going forward. You don't just try it out and then go back to old, more player friendly ways.

Personally, I'm not having as much fun. I will meander my way through season 4. There are a few cards I'm looking forward to (I'm looking at you Jimmie Foxx). I always get the BR and RS reward (non sell), but man, this go around the rewards are pretty weak. I'll probably do the BR route to get the Core cards.

Once again... WHEN IS THE NEXT CORE COLLECTION??? If you make me work to get all of these silver and gold card for nothing... Well... Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... Strike three.

I’m not. I work 10 hours a day and come home and play for 2 hours and can’t compete with guys running all the Griffey cards, the Trout cards, the Mantle cards, the Randy Johnson cards that play 7-8 hours a day.

I am, I don’t play as much online as I used to, when I do I prefer co-op with a friend. Other than that I’ll play ranked or BR if the rewards are enticing, but they haven’t been for me lately. And I used to play events more, but once again, the rewards have been pretty Meh.

Haven’t played since SDS went MIA at the end of Set 3.

I’d recommend starting a RTTS. Play on legend and make the sliders even harder. That was the most fun I’ve had playing this year. Make it so you have to be totally locked in just to hit .300.

Game plays way more realistic. Different hit types, fielders aren’t god tier. It was actually fun for me.

I haven't had fun in this game in forever. I'm suffocating in the CPU grinding. I put in 3-4 hours a day on TA grinding and still only about 50% on most of the divisions. I play ranked and match up with a player with a mediocre record and not a Meta team, and give up 7 runs on homeruns.
I try and find things i want to do in the game, but i've done it all.
I've made WS multiple times, I've completed BR and Event programs.
I've done all of the offline stuff multiple times.
I just wish there was something else to do that would help me have fun again.

I’m still playing. I absolutely hate football and basketball games these days. If that’s what you like then go for it. My suggestion to break up the grind would be a non-sports title.

This for me. PUBG console is wrecked with mods/mnk (actually think I watch more TV now than anything) and when I play I would rather play that game still.

First weekend of Sets 1, 2 and 3 I did the moments, showdowns and conquest to get around 50%. I did this because I used to enjoy RS and getting good cards for that. Now, everything is non-sellable and online play is horrible on my fiber internet. I am at 0% on Set 4. I don't fault them for trying sets but this game feels like 18. Bad online play and ridiculous grinds for not much reward. I also didn't do the last BR program or the last I don't know 3 events.

Season 4s goal is to make everyone blow all their stubs on Mike Trout. I guess they don’t care that it’s pissing people off hiding it behind a 900’000 stub wall. Combine that with the dry content consisting of terrible 97 overalls I’m gonna say….NO not enjoying the game at all anymore
