New BR Rewards

Red Sox Future Star Marcelo Mayer ( hitting .190 in AA), and Zach Britton.
While Britton is a good card, it doesn’t excite me as a BR reward and Mayer is a dud unless they decide to go total fantasy land ( and even then, there are so many SS options).
I miss the days that BR and WS rewards were top tier.
But fits right in with everything else this iteration.

This is what i have been most disappointed lately the game. The really good cards are behind packs and collections only. WS and BR rewards should be some of the top cards in the game and yet they have been barely useable lately. Honestly doesn't get more people to play these online programs or really play at all.

To be fair the best cards I’ve seen come out are the 12 win event ones.

There have been some really good BR and RS rewards, but it is a little hit and miss.
Also, people complain about cards being behind packs, but stubs are still abundant. I bought stubs to start the season and spent them right away on my team, collections, etc. However, since then I haven't bought stubs, but have a ton of them. It's not hard to make stubs, so buying your favorite card or packs, isn't really an issue.

The Andrew McCutchen card is great, really enjoying that card, Byron Buxton not so much.

Can’t ignore Tony Gwynn. That’s a great card, although the 70 discipline is a head scratcher…

Thank goodness. Why should I want a 99 Goldschmidt, Arenado or Brock when I can have Marcelo Mayer.
Why would I be disappointed that the best version of Stan Musial eligible for season 4 is a 94. Or a 97 Babe Ruth. A 97 Mantle. a 97 Mays. a 97 Hank Aaron.

So who’s the pick here? I’m liking Tony Gwynn Marcelo looks ok but no quirks…

Purely for respect for the game of baseball, it must be Gwynn :).

I’m going with britton, since most of my good relievers were from set 2, which can no longer be used.
-
I P5’d Gwynn last year and so will probably buy him but Britton will be my choice most likely. Relievers are terrible in Season 3/4 right now and want another LH reliever besides Wagner. Britton cards are always decent but kind of sucks that these are the options we have to choose from…..
