Who was in the meeting when season 4 was discussed.

Last night, I logged in, loaded up the TA4 East Showdown. Finished it, was bored to tears with the cards, and... went to bed at 10:30. Normally, I would have added the cards to my "TA" lineup and jumped into TA Conquest. I just can't do this again. This seems like "work". There's no progression. Like @Ericulous1_PSN said, in previous TA's, every one progressed with better and better cards. To grind TA4 again, with silly "Snapshot" cards... umm... I can't do it.
Wake me up when 2024 comes. Unless they do "Sets" again.

I wasn't happy with the idea of sets, but I was willing to give them a chance. I really think they would need at least 100 more legends to make this work. Repeating players has always been an issue, but it is way worse this year. This new content drop is about as exciting as a colonoscopy.
I'm still going to play a bit, but I'm quickly losing the desire to do so. I have 3 years of Game Pass Ultimate stacked up, and if next year of The Show is the same format, I probably won't even download it for free...

Your post speaks for many of us. I can't get excited for this nonsense any longer. The mindless grinding on Rookie or Veteran just to get the stats to finish the TA's is just not fun anymore. If this game continues this progression in the future, I'm out. Thanks for your post brother.

You know it’s bad when some of the biggest supporters are sounding like those of us that unfortunately saw this trend coming months ago. That is not a knock on anybody as we all just love baseball and want a game to be at its best.

For one of the few times in the 25 years we've been married, I left her speechless. So, we just sat quietly with Netflix's "Quarterback" in the background and worked on a puzzle. That was way more satisfying than TA4. Finding a random piece and placing it perfectly? Just as good as a Perfect/Perfect.
BTW - if you haven't watched it, "Quarterback" is good. Even my wife likes it, so...
P.S. I'm sure someone at SDS is monitoring the game activity right now, and a red alert went up. "Why isn't arvcpa playing TA4? He always jumps right into the new content". They're probably using my MLBTS app to listen in on my conversations with my wife. "He's working on a JIGSAW PUZZLE??? Good Lord, what have we done with this "sets" thing?!?!".
Probably not. But I like to think that's what's happening.

Havent watched quarterback yet but just started watching the Florida Gators Untold on Netflix. 2 Episodes in and its really good.

This EXACTLY. I have zero motivation to play DD anymore. I was using Murakami and Trout and great 99's, but then have to grind for 95's that nobody wants.
DD has become, literally, a CHORE. I bailed on last season early and won't even start this one...!

I put my self in this list, I have defended or found the positive in most of the content but this season and the snap shot series broke me
I realize it's fake cards but man I play to build teams of players wearing their jerseys and logos and this just feels like a slap in the face. Maybe I am getting old and this is another sign I'm out of touch with what the younger crowd wants but if it is we are in trouble.
Add to that I just felt that stream was beyond disrespectful the way they hinted at stuff especially when talking about the 98 home run race stuff talking like we don't know who Mark McGuire or Sammy Sosa is. This was something I found super condescending normally something I can ignore but in this case it added to my frustration.
This game still has potential to be good and enjoyable but the adults in the room need to step up and have some hard conversations on changes that need to be made and quit with this GQ magazine garbage

I tried to tell you guys in February I knew they couldn't do seasons/sets simply because the content would get to repetitive because unlike 2K they aren't utilizing licensing agreements like they should

Last 3 I have jumped into moments, showdowns and then conquest with the mission players. I do this only to get good cards to play online. Online is playing so bad I logged on last night, looked, quit the game and went to something else.

Did some of the Moments/Confirm Restarts and a quick game for the Topps Now completion and remembered how laggy it was previously on 'content day' when it was difficult to do basically anything for the first hour or so after 'pushing the button'. Only this time, no lag, no stutters or hesitation. I know a lot of folks quit playing already, but how many got fed up with the nonsense from this Season and just said nope, whether that be for today/next couple days or for good?
I play the game because I love baseball. SDS just happens to develop a game of baseball. They're making me regret playing their game. I bought SMB4 as well when it came out and have been playing more of that to get my fix.
