I normally play until the next edition comes out but after todays Set 4 leak. I may be done tomorrow. Quite honestly Snapshot Series is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. It must be those new content people they hired ruining the game.

Worse than the Kaiju series? Maybe they'll have fields where there are paparazzi all over the place that you have to run around? Off the field swagger...pfffft. But, I still think Kaiju was worse.

Godzilla and now GQ. Have they forgotten this is a baseball game? Who are they appealing to with this nonsense?

That is a VERY good question.

I've said it before they need non-baseball related series to justify giving whoever they want whatever ratings they want.

To answer the question at hand it depends on the year. In 2018 it was in May. Last year it was sometime after the World Series. This year it may be Thursday.

Late December, early January for me. I like to have an off-season from sports games.
I got a free ambulance from GT7 yesterday, and immediately thought to run it on Nurburgring! It in turn made me try 2 other faster cars there, to master that incredible course, which made me want to continue my F1 career, so I'm on 'break' until Thursday. NHL will be out soon as well, but I usually stick around close to February.
I did play a 9 inning vs. CPU game to capitalize on the end of double XP today. Got a spin to get another Silver Duo's pack!

I saw something today that season 5 goes from like November-January and was wondering if anyone still plays during the winter. I usually last to October then call it quits until next year.

Honestly I stopped after Extreme and without meaningful improvements next year I may give this series the Madden treatment and just quit entirely

I play usually until the next game comes out. I may not play next years game because honestly I wont have time. Finishing school, starting a new job, getting married, buying a house. I don't think I could casually play the game a couple hours a week. I started playing a couple years ago when it was released on GamePass. First time ever playing online in a sports game and its been fun to see how far Ive come as a player on this game. Being 40 and still being able to get to World Series is satisfying. When there isn't really any content being released in January and February I still have a ton of fun trying new cards that I would have never used and sometimes finding hidden gems.

I guess you had it figured out. Bravo to you for calling it. They win.

I typically play until all the collections are complete. (Except for the GOAT ones you get from playing online)

I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to finish this year. I’m way behind and don’t see a path to finish without grinding the game literally full time

    It’s very disappointing and discouraging.

So, not sure when I’ll finish this year. I hate giving up on my goal. But, have to be realistic and have to be fun.

My stud series guess? I have a feeling there will be even worse cards than the 6 they’ve shown from seeing how some of the Dodgers players have dressed over the years.

I've pretty much called it quits.
The gameplay is fine and I really never complain about that stuff.
But I'll tell you this set thing is awful, totally has turned me off this year. Not a big fan of the captain thing either.
The live series collection thing is old as well. That needs to be revamped completely. By the time most get it done, those are worthless cards.
Events just stink, never have liked those either.
Anyway, nobody forces me to buy the game, and either I like it or I don't. This year I don't, and if I see more of the same next year I'll take a hard pass.

I think this year is going to be earlier, but I usually finish the last program an am done. Somewhere around New Years. I'll do MTO and RTTS for a little longer, but play my other games as my primary. With RTTS broken and needing to play MTO for every division every TA, I'll probably stop as soon as all they are putting out is rehash of the last year. I think they used to call it the 10th inning. So many great games coming out right now to use on stuff I've already done. I'll be back next year though.
