Don't go my route for the Number Retirement program

To get the Program Players mission out of the way, I bought all five 4 point players to increase my squad. Huge waste of stubs. I sold back the 4 point player I got from the pack at 85 points for a loss.
You can spend fewer stubs buying a 25 point player, two 4 point players, and get a third from the pack at 85 points. Then doing the moments, conquest, and missions you can complete the program. Actually, you don't even need to finish the Ripken or Mantle missions to get the 100 points.
Points Breakdown
Moments - 32
Missions (except for Ripken and Mantle) - 12
Three 4 point players - 12
25 Point Player - 25
Conquest - 20Total - 101 points and done.

Thank you for this excellent breakdown my friend. I really want to finish all my programs but I don’t think I’ll pull this one off. Those collection cards ain’t cheap are they lol

No - but I sold off a bunch of uniforms and equipment to finance the project.

Unless you really want or need Fernando, just wait. The packs will be given out as rewards and the players will all come down in price.

me thinks SDS forgot to add an eckersley mission, thus 2 pts short unless you grind for 20 event wins, buy a pack or get lucky and score the rare pack....

Most I can get is 67pts. cause even after i buy the event ones ,I am not collecting them. We cheered and praised them in 2020 when they changed potm to program only,and they haven't done such since, I really don't like that they are going back to that.i ll get some of those cards cause I want them,but I'll be at 67pts unless they add missions to it

I sure would like to understand the ‘rare pack’ concept. I’ve seen it mentioned bu I’ve no idea how you go about obtaining one. Is it totally random or is there a proper way to bring this about? So far as I can tell I’ve never seen one.

Like all of their other choice packs that have base and rare levels, it’s random. For those of us who are conspiracy theorists, we know differently though...

I’m holding out hope that this gets amended. Then again I’ve not made any kind of official complaint…I wonder if they have someone who monitors this forum or do they wait until someone sends them a ticket? I’ll do my part to help as I can block out the incompleted Extreme program due to a provision I made in the filing system of me brain, however if I let two of them go unfinished for very long I’m afraid I’ll lose my momentum lol
Regarding the showdown they’ve made it replete with switch hitting options so it’s quite a bit easier to progress thru it. I got button happy and skipped one or perhaps two of the last matchups and faced Toro with a 5 run deficit and only scored one by way of a lucky homer. For me, here’s just no recovering from these types of egregious (had to use Siri to spell that one) errors for me….not mentally. As they say here in the South, “I was rarnt after that!”

As I said previously, I got to 67, bought Duke and a couple of Base Round guys and called it a day. Wasn’t happy about it, but just wanted to be done with it. Not making anything offline-wise repeatable was a killer for this program, IMO. Although grinding for 3434 PXP for 5 points wasn’t fun either.
And I’m not doing another Showdown until I read something from SDS where they are “more straightforward”. Where every fielder isn’t Brooks Robinson in his prime. And every pitcher isn’t Bob Gibson in his prime. Oh, and we all don’t have to post on here that BUNTING is the prime strategy to beat them!

Yeah me too. got one hit which turned into a 4-6-3 then whiffs and pop ups.
which is extra sad cause I faced him in XMS on AS and put up 4R on 6H and chased him after 6 batters. -

I didn't even try the showdown. Since the WBC one, I have left them alone. Failing over 40 times put a sour taste in my mouth. If it hadn't been for my son, that program wouldn't show completed on my screen.
