This JD Davis moment is a vision of Hell that Dante only wished he had the talent to describe.
I’ve read The Inferno and what you’ve just said while surpassing impossibility might be the greatest description of something truly awful that I’ve ever read.
Are you saying this moment should’ve come with the warning sign of all warning signs, “Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here” hahaha
Can't take credit for that description. In the television show Coach, there was an episode where they go on a fishing trip, only Hayden let Luther take charge for the entire. It's a disaster, and it's the first one they've invited Howard on. Hayden complains to Luther about how ill prepared Luther was, and Howard says he doesn't want to hear about all the great trips in the past because he's only been on this one, and all he's seen is "A vision of Hell that Dante only wished he had the talent to describe." Since that episode aired, I've been using that to describe especially bad things.
That’s hilarious. You can bet I’ll use that one but I may have to wait until I made it to actual Hell before I come across something so awful lol.
Refresh my memory because I loved that show. Which one was the big dumb one and which was the hyperactive befuddled one. I’m thinking these are the two characters being referenced here.
Man that’s an epic line. If I had upvotes you’d get one. You still shall

Dauber is the big dumb one, he went on to voice Patrick in Spongebob and play Marshall's dad in How I Met Your Mother. The hyper active idiot was Luther, played brilliantly by Jerry Van [censored].

Omg had no idea he was Patrick but of course it’s plainly clear now. Haha look at your post it censored Luther’s last name lol

August Topps Now. Davis Schneider moment.
I’m 7-10 with the guy, including two perfect/perfect that hit at the top of the wall. (Shoulda been homers).
Not too impressed with ANY of these August moments. Have taken me AT LEAST five attempts to get them. Even the no hitter moment.
Need to be more straightforward.
-
At least 20 times before I got this moment.
I’m telling ya, this set of moments are harder than ANY of the others this year.
-
I give up on the Gibson moment. He doesn’t throw strikes, the Mets don’t chase. so, he either walks them or they hit lazy flies to the OF.
Definitely harder this month. No question.
-
Ok, I’m calling “Foul”. I’ve attempted all the Topps Now and working thru the retirement moments.
I’ve gotten exactly ONE of all of these on the first try.
I’ve been catching up on past Moments since Extreme came out. These set ( as a group) are way more difficult than any of the previous.
It’s like night and day.

It could be that because you attempted the extreme ones you are now use to the ball coming in really fast, these moments the pitches are really slow and all over the place, i find patience is the best idea with these, don't be afraid to take the first 2 pitches or if you swing at the first 2 the 3rd one will most likely be a ball followed by one right in the zone.
Have patience and sit on something. It may take a few attempts but it will happen. The Altuve moment suprised me, i thought it would take forver instead on the second attempt it was a no doubter to left field.

That Gibson moment was a pain. Starling Marte was my nemesis on multiple tries at it.

Warren Spahn pitch 2 prefect innings. I finished most of the extreme moments faster.

Warren Spahn is the human rain delay, i hate pitching with him.... you also need to pitch 23 innings with him have fun.

I feel you there. With him I’ll go ahead and bean the first guy just to pitch from the stretch. Only thing is if you get a double play you’re right back with the rain delay lol
Edit Forget my strategy for the moment but it’ll work for the IP you need. I lost this one twice in the second already lol keep thinking about the silliest things and my focus is just gone and man that’s what these things are all about is just paying a bit of attention

I’ve seen a few people mention this now and it was same for me. First pitch I put it in the seats and that was that. Maybe there’s something to this card? I’ve not unlocked it yet as I’ve only completed the Moments. I’m also kinda looking fwd to trying out this Framber Valdez card that was the reward for the collection. You try it yet @samguenther1987
PS did anyone else have two identical fans (the exact same bespectacled fan, wearing a bright white shirt and their movements were totally synchronized…one to the extreme left and the other to the extreme right. Feels like walleye vision hahaha) on opposite sides of the front row during this moment? I found it terribly distracting lol

I hqve unlocked the Framber Valdez card and i enjoyed the pitch 2 innings moment with him but with so many great new pitchers to use this weekend i havn't gotten around to actually using him, i'll let you know when i do.
This weekend has helped me get to 300 cards in set 3 and Martin Dihigo so thats another one i want to try out.

Funny. All the moments you guys have mentioned are the exact same ones I’ve struggled with.
Too funny.

I've had a pretty easy go with moments all year so I feel dumb complaining but these retirement moment hitters are terrible. Everything is a weak grounder or lined right at someone. I can't believe how long it's taking to get 2 hits with some guys.
On an unrelated note: 21 innings with Spahn but just 1 stolen base with Ozzie lol......I mean who determined the numbers here?

They correspond to the number that player wore.

By golly they do don’t they? Never dawned on me. Dang. Why couldn’t Spahn have worn the number 00!?

'Eddie's Excellent Career'
Dude couldn't hit a gap if you took him in front of a The Gap store and asked: 'Eddie, can you slap this building for me?'
It's incredible!
