Did anyone catch that 1st AB of Bellinger last night vs the Jays? The very first pitch the man sees gets annihilated…it was a first pitch change up and to me, it looked to be the precise same pitch as the one Nico Hoerner hit just 2AB earlier. I was awestruck it was like “is this guy dialed in right now or what?”
I gotta say I’m liking the Cubbies for that NL Central race is completely up for grabs and very, very winnable and they would be wise to do so because the NL Wilcard is going to be crazy too! Oh I’m having a nerdgasm here friggin baseball man woooo!
I apologize if this sounds cheeseball…...
Good baseball is always a joy to watch…..Awww shucks….Mongo just pawn in game of life
Who’s Mongo, you may ask?
“Me Mongo!”
I agree with you about the great baseball. I just love it too as I k ow many here do such as yourself

Once the playoffs are set, we should have a friendly pool and everyone make their picks. Of course if everyone picks the Braves we could save time haha

I apologize if this sounds cheeseball but you have made these forums a lot more welcoming and fun to participate in. They had become really toxic but I’m noticing a lot of the old crew who got me into this game posting more and more so I appreciate your baseball enthusiasm and contributions. Alright, enough of that haha.
I really thought Bellinger was a flash in the pan or a burnout but it’s nice to see a change of scenery did him good. Can’t believe I’m saying this but I hope he re-signs and becomes a career Cubbie. Good baseball is always a joy to watch
I will second Eric. Bxnny Man is a breath of fresh air on this forum of toxic and jaded posters ( even the good guys become jaded dealing with the arseholes constantly attacking and being dbags).
Much appreciated Bxnny

I’m totally in for that partner sounds like a lot of fun. GOING to be lots of fun no question. No question the Braves are the team to beat and I don’t think anyone touches them in seven games however there are a couple of teams that are poised to shake things up if they can keep the series short if that makes any sense whatsoever lol

You are incredibly kind and gracious for your undeserved but much appreciated complement. @Ericulous1_PSN has provided me with such kind encouragement on several occasions now (seriously, I feel the same way about you, fella) which has helped me along tremendously since I’ve been around here.
As for yourself well I knew I admired you the day I read that incredible complement that @Blind_Bleeder posted for you a few weeks back. In my experience here on this forum, he’s as good as it gets and, while I can think of a couple right off the top of my head (y’all know who y’all are) that are equal to him, there are none who surpass him.The trolls do what they do - they are miserable souls who simply want others to be miserable like they are. Misery loves company, it’s true but so does friendliness, honesty, and kindness. It doesn’t mean that we have to agree about everything, because we never will (what fun would THAT be?), but it’s been my life’s experience that you can never go wrong by treating folks with dignity, respect, and courtesy…..and so many of y’all great personalities do JUST that on this forum. I love the game of baseball and this game is really growing on me as well…but it’s been about 15-20 of ya’s on here that’s made all this worth it for me. This really is a great bunch of fellas
@Oreo-Thomas_XBL I’ve got mad respect for you partner

Well said. While everyone certainly has a right to voice an opinion as often as they like, I can't understand the mentality of those who keep coming back daily to complain about the same aspects of a game they seem to dislike immensely.

I agree wholeheartedly. This particular mentality always, always conjures the memory of a plot from an episode of the cartoon “SpongeBob SquarePants” in which SB is on the beach and when he bends down to pick up something it causes his shorts to rip across the back, causing raucous laughter by those around. SpongeBob proceeds to spend the rest of the show trying to insert hisself into any and every scenario possible where he can pull off this increasingly wearisome schtick. By the end of the episode people violently charged and ready to beat him mercilessly over this endless repetition…..we got us a whole passel of SpongeBobs around here lol
(I’ll call dibs on Patrick for meself haha)

I admit there's time when I wonder if you're really a 20 yr old goth girl just doing a bit on here for fun, or something crazy like that. But it doesn't really matter even if that's the case. I appreciate your enthusiasm and you seem like the kind of person I'd want to run into in a bar and have a beer with while the game is on.
The point of this is to say I'm glad you're here and keep being you! -

Bunny you are the new Alex Karras in the forum…..Mongo!!!!

Candy gram for Mongo! Bahahaha!
Spanish Balloons? Lol
You’ll learn this once we meet up in November, but you’ve come way closer to hitting the nail on the head with your comparison that did our friend @Finn_Scotus_MLBTS. I’ve got a couple inches on Mongo and about 40 pounds.
While I couldn’t never hope to match his performance as Mongo, I wouldn’t be altogether opposed for a chance a reprising his role as George Papadopolous from “Webster” haha

I’m sure that most on here neither know who Alex is nor the character he played as Mongo. For me though he was one of the funniest characters in that movie even though he wasn’t one of the stars. Hahahahaha Candygram for Mr. Mongo….Mongo like candy LMAO

One of my all time favorites. I use the Dom DeLuise line, “…sounds like steam escaping!” at least once a day somehow….among others
ps for me it was Mongo, Gabby Johnson (and his authentic frontier gibberish), and, by far most importantly, Mr. Taggart haha I love Slim Pickens we have the same accent lol
