This was just a ton of cards to put towards the set 3 collection. I’m happy to get a good Helton card but I’ve barely played much in the last 2 weeks until today.

Halladay, Biggio, Snider, Fernando, Devers, Buxton, Larkin, DeGrom, Leiter…all amazing cards. That’s a huge content drop.

Do people know it’s possible to stop playing a game, without some grand announcement? Don’t want to play the game anymore? Don’t play it. Why the goodbye speech?

Because I want SDS to see what I don’t like about the game. If they keep track like most analytical businesses do then it is more likely to change based on the quantity of customer complaints. If there are say 500 others that posted something similar over the life of the game then that gets brought up at meetings on things to change.

Different for everyone I guess. Im still enjoying the game and think this is by far the best version of the game since 19. Content system wasn’t great but think the gameplay is a huge improvement over the past few years.

You have no problem with created stadiums in online play? Stadiums that make old Shippett look like Forbes Field.

I’d prefer to not have them but they have been in the game for a few years now so it’s not like it’s a downgrade from a previous version. I don’t see them that often honestly. The field that seems to pop up the most for me is that new one that is basically snippet 2.0. Woods something I think. I just think the hitting this year is a huge improvement over the past few. Generally don’t see off pci home runs and there are far fewer foul balls on the higher levels.

Full disclosure - I was going to have one last fun weekend playing the show before I uninstalled it when Madden drops on Tuesday. I went ahead and just uninstalled it now. And between all the awesome games dropping in the next several months I know I won’t play The Show again until 24…But if 24 is the same setup then I’ll just play with regs. This has been just the most disappointing version of the game ever. Between the backwards content, The Mickey Mouse stadiums in online play, The two way disaster that took MUCH longer than it should have to resolve…I’m just burned out. I used to play the show year round. Not anymore.
This week is probably the least I have played this game in three years and I had zero desire to start working on anything today. The design is just so odd. You play and play and play to earn cards most people have no interest in…just to complete collections to get a few cards you actually want. I am happy some people like the design, but it has had zero lasting power with me.

Maybe they are tryna cater to some of the newer players for the time being. Seems like they went too hard on season 1 lol but to be honest coming from mut and my team the variety of cards you can get is way higher content wise ! But I'll def be tuned in to see how Madden is this year. Prob be my first year away in a minute. Happy I'll have the show to hold me over though

End of the day there is not enough spread between player ratings. Most players should be more in the 85-95 range and fewer in the 96-99 range. Kinda like real baseball.

I understand your frustrations and your points are valid even if they aren’t shared by everyone. I’m not an online player and even I can see that it’s really odd to release 97s of guys like Mantle and Eckersley when their 99s are still in use albeit only for another 3 weeks.
I think they overdid it with the early 99s and I’d be very surprised if they repeated this model.
All that said, the content this year blows last year out of the water. Last years content specifically for offline players was really bad. I’d run out of stuff to a month before every new featured program. Even if the structure is not ideal, there is plenty to do and it’s not exactly the same every time.
But I’m not the best judge. I haven’t played another video seriously since Mario Cart Double Dash in college haha.

I just want to clarify that my post is how “I”feel…If you are enjoying the game, Not burned out, Happy with the structure, Not bothered by being forced to play in ridiculous stadiums, ect…Then have fun! Keep playing! Enjoy yourself!…But if you feel the same as me then please say so, Fill out the surveys, Post on social media - If SDS doesn’t know how people feel then nothing will change.
