Why lie SDS?

Wow personal insults, that’ll work. They didn’t lie, they probably found a faulty coding, changed it and released it. The problem is with the situation now they can’t lab it before releasing would be my guess. They’re already aware, they’ll fix it.

If anything, I wouldn't necessarily call it a lie. I would call it incompetence, because I'm pretty sure the developers think they did actually fix the issues.

I’m usually not this harsh, but whoever is testing and making these patches shouldn’t have that job. This isn’t the first patch that claimed things are fixed and they aren’t. To me, it seems like a lie.

How long has DD been incorporated into MLB the show?
How long has MLB the show been around?
Yet we’re still having reoccurring issues?
So until a new Baseball game is made to compete with MLB the show we will all have to just embrace this [censored] of a gameplay. -

At least fielding and pitching felt playable. The lineouts sucked, but honestly I’m getting just as many now ever since they nerfed hitting after the first weekend. This is the worst fielding has ever been to my memory.

The fielding was bad the first month or so last year too, or does everyone forget outfielders running through ground balls causing in the park Homer's?

It is completely impossible for any game company to play test as much as hundreds of thousands of users can (unless that game company had hired hundreds of thousands of play testers who didn't do artwork, didn't do programming, all they did was play out every single scenario and its permutations over and over again).
As far as earlier versions playing better now, of course they did, because they had the full cycle of patches.
We're also in an environment where, due to social distancing, it is much harder to coordinate activities. Sure, some people work fully remote and some work part of the time, but it's still harder to accomplish some things in a teleconference than it is in person.
Of course, if you think you can do better, you're free to code up your own baseball game

I don’t think it’s that easy. There has to be a reason no one else makes mlb games like the show. I get that they are “social distancing”, but don’t say you fixed something that you didn’t. Be transparent with the people spending their hard earned money instead of misleading everyone patch after patch.

The reason nobody else makes baseball games is they dont see enough return on investment. EA as much as said that's why they dont.

EA can stay far away. I’ve hated their products for years now. I don’t get the profit part though. SDS recreates mostly the same cards an resells them every year. A virtual card created from code has to be very profitable

Do they release a beta version that they allow the public to test before they release the game? I know fifa puts out a beta test version that members of the community can play which allows them to fix the bugs prior to release. I’ve never seen MLB The Show Beta version or any of my friends playing one...
-
But to build a whole new game from scratch would costs lot of money, They clearly dont feel they would get enough sales to justify it.
SDS has the advantage of 15 years of reiteration, for better or worse.

They do a private beta usually in December or January. Nothing public as far as I know, but if you played last year's game it's easy to get into.

I don't know if it is just me, but 99 Mickey has ran past 2 flyballs in my current br run through 5 games.
What a ridiculous bug for a baseball videogame to release with.

Must be super private because I’ve played the show every year for as long as I can remember. I play everyday, I’m linked to their twitch stream, I post here often but I’ve never been invited to beta test. I use to love doing that on fifa and giving them tons of feedback.

They let everyone play the beta this year I think. They first said it was invite only, but I’m pretty sure everyone ended up being invited

I never gave up an inside the parker last year this year im up to 5 already in online gameplay because of balls ricocheting off the wall my guy will be where the balls supposed to go after hitting the wall and he wont react causing another outfielder to come over and pick the ball up every single time never had this problem once last year and i played over 700 ranked games

I don’t follow them on any social media so if that’s where they are advertising this or offering beta invites maybe that’s why

I was literally thinking the same the other day. I don’t think before this year I’ve ever given up on inside the Parker. This year I’ve given up a few because my OF just stands next to the ball and refused to pick it up.
