I loved how the announcer went into full Howard Cosell mode and was calling the fight “down goes Anderson! Down goes Anderson” hahaha

That was classic. I’m not like a fight guy. I actually hate seeing fights in real life and the last real one I was in was the legendary scuffle in the 8th grade with Jason Florey over Tyra White. We both lost as she was already dating Tim (not Anderson).
Fast forward to yesterday- the min TA dropped his gloves and went into his little thug life routine, it came a little too easily to him, I thought….ohhhh….this guy thinks he’s too hard for the yard. Meanwhile, teddy bear JoRam just goes to work on him him while being held by TA’s teammate.
I’m not shocked you weren’t around for comment Tim after game. Think we’ll call you glass jaw instead of Jackie.

It really did my heart good to see 7 get dropped. The funniest part was when his teammates were trying to help him up and he was still super wobbly. I think that punch may have landed more squarely than some folks think it did. I actually enjoy the "Let the kids play" mentality that is prevalent today to a large degree but I also agree with Ramirez that TA has been disrespecting the game for a while now. To me he is a motor mouth trash talking punk on a team full of cry babies and him getting dropped was my favorite baseball moment of the week.

As well as others....Ramirez, already legendary, has gained immortality. Known as one of the kindest, most good natured, respectable, humble and light hearted players in all of MLB faced off against the complete antithesis. He stood up against a bully who had been picking on the younger teammates of JRam and, even then, you could tell he had zero desire to go fisticuffs. TA thought you could watch a Kimbo Slice video or two while jazzercising and become a card carrying badass….instead he ended up with his ten gallon hat being 5 gallons flat and weak in the knees. Anyone else hanker for a hunk of cheese?
