I understand its suppose to be hard but i wish the cards were sellable where people who arent good enough to complete the program could obtain the cards , and the people who are good enough could make extra stubbs if they wanted to sell.

Buddy, I don't think its so much Extreme (although that's part of it) but the game just doesn't feel good this year. Being able to get the good players only for them to expire just ruins it for me. I'm doing the Extreme and have got 34 points but it's not that fun. I wish the order was different for the players. I would get Wagner and Cain and call it a day. Ketel for me is just a collection. I hate Piazza's swing and I already have a Griffey out of the several that have been released so no need to try and get to 100. I feel your pain and I get how you feel. Unfortunately I don't have the burning desire like I did when I started playing DD way back when.

I'm gonna go for the Conquest and will probably use the Mini Season to grind and then the missions of course, but hours of attempting to hit 2 HR's in 2 AB's w/ Piazza and hit a HR w/ Griffey (Which shouldn't have been too excruciating) put me off of even wanting to mess with those. I know I'll never be able to beat Randy on Legend so I'm not even gonna waste my time w/ the Showdown.

This is the time of year where we would all be starting to get the good 99s. This year we've been getting solid 99s from day 1 so there's really not much to look forward too.
Also as you mentioned, it sucks to spend all this time unlocking cards just to have them expire. I got ridiculed earlier this year, but I'll say it again, overall this years game is just not as good.
Add to this a personal issue: the penalty you get for frozen coop games is absurd and completely unnecessary. I get you can turn off crossplay, but then the game acts like you are the only person in the world playing this game on a ps5.

I feel like I always have something to look forward to. I am an Angels fan so aside from completing programs I also have the goal of parralling as many Angels as I can . Also padding my ranked record .

Same. I really wanted to Wagner card so once I got him I'm kinda over it.
I get a challenge, but cmon. Randy on legend is alot. Also some of the moments are crazy. Getting on base 4 times on legend with soto and the 4 xbhs with Garcia are killing me. I hit 3 homruns once and then in the 4th ab the center fielder dove to catch my line drive lol.
I'll probably spend a few more days playing with the moments because I think they are cool, but the showdown will remain ignored.

Just stick to some of the moments, the missions when you unlock the cards, conquest (i promise its really not that hard, if i can do it anyone can) and the mini seasons for vouchers, that alone should get you up to 60 points and at least Mike Piazza. From there just use the PXP the rest of the way.
- if you can get 12 event wins you should be able to use the collection and that will give you another 15 points.

I bought the three collection cards. Will complete the conquest. I think after that I will just keep the reward cards in my line-up and do the mini seasons. I want to see how far I get without touching showdown or most of the moments. I've never been a huge Griffey user so there really is no incentive for me to concentrate on it. A friend of mine already finished it but he is much younger than I am so his reflexes are going to be better than this 45 year old.

I can't believe I did it but I actually got Soto done on Legend. It required many many restarts but it only takes one lucky time and it happens.

Also doesn't help that the 'rewards' are the same cards we have already seen 2-3 times. There are already 2 Griffeys, 1-2 Wagners and I know I'm missing more.
I agree with OP I only log on for daily doubles right now. -
The showdown this year is terrible. I finish most normal ones on my first attempt and have completed the prior extremes but this one just feels cheap, the timing windows are a little to wonky for me to keep attempting it.

There is a ton of luck involved in the moments, conquest and Showdown. Not as if it’s so awesomely hard but you need luck as well.

What the heck is it???? I have the same exact problem. I've tried to get into it but just don't feel it. I started to think I was depressed. lol

What the heck is it???? I have the same exact problem. I've tried to get into it but just don't feel it. I started to think I was depressed. lol
I have only been playing since 2020, but I am also kind of losing interest which is strange since the last three releases I've played all the way through the cycle until the new game is released.
The grind has just gotten to me this year I guess. TA is a constant battle to keep up with and like many have already said the fact that we already have some of these 99 cards in our inventory really makes it hard to justify the dedicated time required to compete these programs. Nothing feels special with so many top-tier cards being available since day one.
I still have fun with the game. However, the compulsive feeling to complete every moment/program is just not there right now.

Yeah, the over-saturation of high cards really didn’t work IMHO. I was hopeful, but it does sort of feel like, what’s next? Who cares? I don’t play online much which I should probably change since that may add some more fun to the game.
I have played the last two years and try to collect every player card. I doubt that’ll happen this year if I’d also like a social life hahaha.
