John donaldson... guy is a nightmare, but facing him on legend has proven to be impossible. I'm almost done with these legend missions, but I haven't gotten a single hit off him yet.

Also for the 30 strikeouts on legend you gotta use players with really slow offspeed pitches or sidearm deliveries. The cpu turns on 103 fastball like nothing on legend.

And I don't know if it's been said here yet, but the mystery missions are "hit 3 homruns on legend" and "record a save on legend"

This extreme mini season is awesome! Hats off to sds for this one.

My experience has been pretty positive. . I think I am 11-1 on legend so far and only faced Donaldson in tie first game but somehow hit 3 homers off him in the first inning. ( that was it. won the game 3-0).

Scoring on average is pretty tough as most games I score 1-3 runs and strike outs are prevalent ( I didn’t think of using Dee Gordon or bunting but might put him on the bench for the close game emergency )…key for me has been I have only given up about 4 runs total. Stay out of the middle of the plate and haven’t had any issues. I have averaged 3 - 4 Ks with my pitchers per game to easily get the 30k challenge and vouchers done.

The rewards for playing on legend are great. I have earned about 16 vouchers so far with anll the missions and should earn that many more as I finish the season. Kudos to SDS for the incentive to play on the higher difficulties.

Before I get anyone thinking I am bragging, I have failed the showdown 5x….struggling there.

I beat the showdown in one try but struggled for hours to go back to back to back against a common pitcher, everybody struggles with something different. Keep pushing, you’ll get it done.

For me Sale was the only moment where I thought I wasn’t going to make it, even Randy on legend was easier

Thanks, my friend. Booted it up tonight for a try and beat it. I think Gossage was the toughest tonight. Like you, I beat Randy with like 18 outs left.

You suck wyatt lmao. Well done my friend.I went 2-2 on HOF then switched to AS and still having fun

I got the unhandled server exception error, it’s because you can only use certain amount of set 3 cards, so make sure to count how many you have in the cou generated lineup and don’t try to add an additional card.

Same for staring pitchers and relievers.

    Teach me man haha.

I know you well enough on here to know it’s not bragging. You were super helpful when I was a newbie and I’ve seen you do the same for many others. Glad you’re enjoying this program. I’m sure you’ll get the showdown soon enough.

Can you get vouchers on Mini Seasons playing on lower difficulties? I haven’t been able to look at it much.

Yes this is a summary based on difficulty you play on.

    Summary
Legend Run = 44pts If you can play on Legend much easier GRIND then Conquest.
HOF Run = 26pts 1 mission of 10 Runs on HOF is 2pts so you may or may not get that.
    All Star Run = 16pts

If you play on All Star. You will get 2 pts for 60 Total bases and 2pts for every 15 wins. Then you get 12pts for playoffs.

15 wins should get you playoffs then 6 games in playoffs you can do any difficulty.

Just to make it clear, the missions are not stackable. I got my 10 wins on HOF but that did not accrue any progress towards All Star. Thus at least what I did was play one season at HOF for 10 wins and then 6 more wins at AS since it carries over. Then played playoffs at Rookie since it doesn’t matter and FYI there is a Chase Pack in the Championship Bundle.

Then after that run I will play on Legend to get 5 Wins and 30Ks (I tried one game at Legend on prior run and got 4 Ks so that does seem about right on a per game basis). Those Legend Missions will net another 12 points (6 vouchers).

I don’t think I’ll ever go back and get another 9 AS wins for that voucher since it doesn’t seem worth it.

I’m pretty sure if you play the playoff games on a AS-Legend you get credit toward the vouchers there too ( it worked that way in the past ).

So playing the 2 playoff series in legend should met another 3 vouchers on top of the 6 you make for winning the series.

Unless I’m wrong (and might be) the only Legend vouchers come from 5 wins (not repeatable) and Ks (one time). So assuming you have those done before the playoffs there is no added bonus to higher difficulties. Given that 6 vouchers come from playoffs I figure it’s best to play those on lower difficulties to mitigate CPU shenanigans.

You get the vouchers for EVERY 5 wins on legend. I just got my 15th win and have earned 9 vouchers for those (3 for each 5)

Pretty sure they keep counting for each playoff win on that level. Will confirm today.

Same. Well didn't beat showdown on 1 try. But would have much rather faced any other top pitcher then that Brito guy. He is all over the place.

He either threw a pitch way out of the zone or dotted the change up in the weirdest spots. I had to use Harper, Ketel and Schwarber to do it and wait patiently for fastballs

I think anyone can play regular conquest maps on legend with a bit of practice ( your top squad Bs MLB rosters of mostly silver and bronze)…..this extreme mini season is a fun change as I literally feel like every pitch matters.

I’m working on Conquest too. Did Mini Seasons first as I wanted to have Wagner for conquest since it’s easy saves. I’m at Milwaukee now and still on first turn. No losses so fairly casual thus far. For some reason CPU can’t hit Clase and his inside cutters so between him and Billy it’s fairly enjoyable.

I breezed through the conquest map but this mini seasons is tough facing all 99s top to bottom every game. I could probably do it with enough practice on HOF but I’m probably just going to stick to All-Star with this.

Making the game randomly crash multiple times during mini seasons was a stroke of genius on their part.
Losing hits with Marte and a save with Wagner was extremely well done.
They're not holding back with Extreme this year.

Yeah - Mini Season on HOF is way harder than those first few on Conquest. But as others have referenced I kind of enjoyed having to concentrate against the CPU for a change. Only played one game on Legend so far (going to go for the 5 wins and 30Ks) and while I won I am shamed to admit it was on a bunt. I don’t even bunt Online but I had no desire to lose that game 🤣

I got it in #6. Ironically I lost 2x to Cain!!! Once to Gibson, once to Gossage, and once to Wagner (all 3 of those were my fault for boneheaded mistakes …I get tight playing those darn things.

Randy (and Nolan ) was no problem as I had like 18 outs left. No doubt you can do it. Question is if you want to deal with it 😎

Yes I’ve enjoyed actually having to focus playing the CPU. I tried the mini seasons after a ton of grinding in conquest so I’m curious how I’ll do on HOF with some fresh eyes lol
