Upgrading to a PS5

Finally getting ready to buy a PS5. Question is, will all of my cards and stubs that I’ve earned on PS4 transfer over when I install the game on the new console? I have the digital copy from PS Store. I’d hate to start over.

Your acount will transfer over as will all of your stubs and cards, download should be fast and the PS5 is incredible. I've had mine for a few months now and it's so much better then the PS4

There is no transfer. The data is on the servers. As long as you use the same account, the same data will be there. I hope you’re getting a 4K 120hz monitor too, because the game is beautiful on the PS5 @4K.
Did you look at an XBox X too? I prefer the Power A Fusion Pro controller over the PS5 one.

I have both ps5 and Xbox series x. I want the PS5 to run like the series x with that controller but man it’s not as smooth. This is not a knock on PS5 I just prefer the X. Honestly can’t got wrong with either

I don’t notice a difference in smoothness, but my PS5 has a random LAN connect/disconnect problem. So I may drop internet at any time. The XBox X seems more stable to me. Streaming on the PS5 is easier, and the video handling is much better. It’s not the camera, because on my PC, the same camera is beautiful, but on the XBox X, not so much.
Edit regarding smoothness of play - I have both consoles set to 4K @120 fps - and both consoles play beautifully for me.

As others have said it will be a seamless move. Congrats on getting the PS5, I bought mine in March in the difference from the PS4 is really amazing. Plus it was nice to get God of War Ragnarok thrown in for next to nothing.

It’s more the controller for me
Oh - yeah, definately! The Power A Fusion Pro is much better than the DualSense.
