Use Ohtani 2 way in Co-Op?

Is there any way to get Ohtani the starting pitcher Lightning card to hit in co-op? I know how with his reliever but can’t figure out if there’s a way with the monthly card. Card is kind of useless for co-op if it can only pitch. Co-op all around needs some work

I find him as a starting pitcher to be quite useful, but that's just my opinion.

I find him as a starting pitcher to be quite useful, but that's just my opinion.

Not that he’s not good pitching, just there are better options and his real value is his 125 125 vs a RHP

If you move your DH to a position it automatically makes your pitcher hit. You lose the DH for the rest of the game, but as long as Ohtani is pitching, he will hit.
