Here’s another head shaker. You get 10 points for beating the Mariners on Vet or above. I pitch my 5th starter, thinking I’ll get their 5th starter (which always happens in vs CPU games)
Ohhhh, not this one. You get their #1 starter. If that’s the case, SAY IT in the game description. “beat the mariners ace with your DD squad”. How hard is that??

It's been that way all season vs the cpu in 9 inning games, start your 4th starter and you will get the Mariners worst pitcher, start your 5th and you get their ace. Yet another thing off about this years game.

It's been that way all season vs the cpu in 9 inning games, start your 4th starter and you will get the Mariners worst pitcher, start your 5th and you get their ace. Yet another thing off about this years game.

I only noticed it because I play the 9 inning games for TA points and I played the Yankees, chose my 5th starter and the Yankees sent out Cole (but playing on rookie/veteran you should be able to knock any starter around) i tried again with Toronto and it was Gausman.

I only noticed it because I play the 9 inning games for TA points and I played the Yankees, chose my 5th starter and the Yankees sent out Cole (but playing on rookie/veteran you should be able to knock any starter around) i tried again with Toronto and it was Gausman.
I mainly play the Rockies, Nats, A’s, you know the teams you load up on to hit homers!
I guess all their pitchers stink cuz I haven’t noticed any “aces” necessarily in those type of teams!

Try the Giants, it's a home run derby against them. My average score against them is 25-2 but i have gotten 45 once, that was fun. I try to get through a teams entire bullpen to see if they won't send in a starter, it's only happened once so far and that was against the Rockies. I was up 47-0 in the 7th and they sent in German Marqez. Really funny.

I believe you are right about the starters!
. I went and looked at a couple of teams I regularly play vs CPU. What I thought were 5th starters are actually their “aces”. Wow! This is great to know. -

That’s an incredible score! I need me a game like that I can’t even begin to calculate the kind of XP you must’ve gotten….10,000 points?
Haha I’d love that! I couldn’t agree more with the Giants serving up meatballs…it’s like the whole staff have a conspiracy cooked up to see how many of them can ruin their ERAs lol! There’s always one pitcher who seems to be able to quell the storm for about 3 innings or so (in my case) that keeps me away from those unholy scores like you’ve managed but ima keep trying lol! -

The future stars showdown is still killing me. I either need to finish that or grind a bunch of future stars games to get the 1000 xp 5 star repeatable challenge. Not sure what will take longer. Everyone in that showdown throws 102

The AL/NL Central Division Showdown for TA3 is killing me - specifically Greg Holland. I've tried the Showdown 5 times and lost to him 3 times. I challenged breezed through the first 6 showdowns each time, only for my team to forget how to hit when I get to him. It shouldn't be hard to get 2 runs off a closer within 9 outs or be harder to get through Greg Holland than Bob Feller and Bob Gibson.

Have you tried playing vs cpu on rookie level using a short porch such as ‘the sandlot’ ? You’ll get your homers in a couple of games if you play the giants or A’s

I have, for some reason I'm seeing all their hits just die.
Julio has a high average for me, and has gotten 5 of the 8 hommers hit by Derby guys, but I'm just struggling hitting homers with them.

My issue is with Tony Clark hit 5 XBHs. I do nothing but ground out to first with him it feels like. He's only hitting like .210 for me (offline). I'm generally really patient with moments and missions but this one is annoying me just a little.

Is Tony Clark, “Tony the Tiger”? If so, it took me a while offline to get his swing down. I did nothing but ground out to first as well.
He’s now over .500 for me in offline games.
