Last 3 event games on wired fiber no vpn. 1st guy confirmed Boston, 3rd guy confirmed North Carolina. Didn't even ask the 2nd one. I am playing all star and having to sell out for pitches. Quit [censored] matching me against people 1000 miles away. Is there no one playing this [censored] game in the midwest?
You know it’s a red flag to message someone and ask them where they live right? You know that right?
Only if your mind is wired weirdly, like yours apparently. Asking a question with some context is perfectly normal. Not like he asked the guy for his address or his SSN, just asking what region he's from is not that weird.
Yeah, I disagree. And there’s never been anything stated about how the question is asked. If I match with someone, the pause the game, and message me “where do you live” I’m screenshotting, reporting, blocking and quitting. You can think what you want, but, this person is clearly obsessed with internet connections, goes so far to ask people where the live, uses a VPN, that’s the kind of person that does ddos attacks bud. It just is.
"Where do you live" is a weird question, I doubt he used that specific phrase.
"Where are you from" is very commonly used in every day small talk.Yes, you can doubt it gets phrased that way all you want, much like I can assume it does.
Yes you can. And like I said earlier, that gives us some insight into your mind, not his.
Ah, yes. The psycho analysis. Where did you get your PHD Doctor?
It's really not that complicated.
There’s a lot of validity to feelings of concern when a random person on the internet messages you with “where are you from?” Especially because the preceding message was most likely something passive aggressive along the lines of “wish I didn’t have to face warp pitch speeds” just because you agree with a madman doesn’t make it any less weird.
Wasn't talking to you Skepple, save your replies for when I actually @ you.
No thanks, I’ll reply where I see fit thanks!
Also, go back in our messages on your other account as to how dangerous it can seem asking someone where they’re from. I won’t bring it up but if you go back in our messages you’ll understand what I mean.
No clue what you're talking about and tbh I don't really care either. I came here only to say that Demise is right to complain about the state of networking infrastructure when it comes to this franchise and that it's pathetic how these buffoons jump his throat on every opportunity just because he brings up the same issue over and over again.
Because honestly the issue is not that big of a deal and it only comes up when he loses. He straight admitted it in this thread, when he won everything was all good. It’s been the same thing for 6 years if it’s that bad stop playing. Who’s forcing you to be here?
Anyone who messages someone asking where they’re from is definitely on the unstable side. To try and make excuses for it is crazy weird
Not a big deal because it obviously doesn't affect you. Like I said before, I'm not hungry but not ignorant enough to know that world hunger is not an issue for some people.
Asking where someone is from is unstable because I am curious about the matchmaking? Exaggerate much?
Because you’re asking a bunch of people where they’re from? And I’m sure giving your bs before or after, yea that’s unstable behaviour. How about if you don’t like it so much stop playing and go away. Plenty of people do, you clearly do not. Go do something else instead of clogging up the forums with your nonsense and asking people where they’re from.
So Skepple, I mean Canuckler beg pardon.. tell me, do you feel like the p2p quality in this franchise is good/acceptable and you have never been in a game where it is just impossible to time a fastball no matter what?

I live in the southwest with fairly good internet. Most of the games I play are with people in the same area based on my best guesses. I have to guess because my messaging is limited to giving kudos. I think OP should reset his router if he is experiencing lag.

See now I know you're lying. Because I used to associate with a bunch of top players when I was still good at this game and they all mention this issue as a consistent and unpredictable variable in the online environment of this franchise which pretty much ruins the entire experience. I'm not gonna name drop here, but they are a lot more reputable than you are Ske, I mean Canuckler. All due respect of course. So each and everyone of these guys are just full of it I guess.
Also I never said it's literally impossible to hit. You just have to sell out on it which makes you extremely vulnerable to everything offspeed once they figure that out, which only takes half an inning if you're playing someone with a brain or some experience in this game.

In events? Okay. That's awesome. I'm talking about guys who compete for the Summer and Fall circuits. Nothing against "The Canuckler" (he doesn't want to be called Skepple), I did say all due respect in my previous comment. That wasn't me being sarcastic.

I have never had that happen, I’ve played guys with bad connections from DR, PR, Japan, but still been able to hit ️ sorry that you guys can’t
Lol no you didn’t. I know who you are and you did not associate with top players.
But now I’m really confused because according to demise all top players as well as streamers all have connections that allow them to face slow pitch softball speeds. That’s why they’re good according to demise so now the top players see connection issues all the time? You guys need to get together and get your stories straight.
And yea, I’ve done well in events in the past, also finished top 50 lifetime multiple times.. so if you could stop using my last name I’d appreciate it.

And like I said earlier, that gives us some insight into your mind, not his.

with all due respect Raes - Skepple for years has been literally one of the best players in the world - to say his reputation is not as good as some others is insane - Skep is in the 1% of performance - i remember years past seeing him overall number 1 in events - we have known each other for years - you included
In events? Okay. That's awesome. I'm talking about guys who compete for the Summer and Fall circuits. Nothing against "The Canuckler" (he doesn't want to be called Skepple), I did say all due respect in my previous comment. That wasn't me being sarcastic.
i mean i referenced a singular type of thing here talking about how good Skep is - i am sure he plays at a high level in RS - you are trying to split hairs here diminishing what his skillset is - at the end of the day he is absolutely one of the best on this forum, and in game
why you guys are going back and forth i have no idea i just wanted to jump in with my 2 cents

I'm sure he's able but don't use events as proof lol, I have been a top the events leader boards multiple times in the past and every time someone brings it up to flatter me I cringe because it literally means nothing.
It’s an open forum.. imagine thinking someone needs to be spoken to to reply on an open forum.. lol I remember when you used to be in my messages and you certainly weren’t talking with this bravado that you are now lol

I have never had that happen, I’ve played guys with bad connections from DR, PR, Japan, but still been able to hit ️ sorry that you guys can’t
You just have to sell out on it which makes you extremely vulnerable to everything offspeed once they figure that out, which only takes half an inning if you're playing someone with a brain or some experience in this game.
with all due respect Raes - Skepple for years has been literally one of the best players in the world - to say his reputation is not as good as some others is insane - Skep is in the 1% of performance - i remember years past seeing him overall number 1 in events - we have known each other for years - you included
In events?

I have never had that happen, I’ve played guys with bad connections from DR, PR, Japan, but still been able to hit ️ sorry that you guys can’t
You just have to sell out on it which makes you extremely vulnerable to everything offspeed once they figure that out, which only takes half an inning if you're playing someone with a brain or some experience in this game.
with all due respect Raes - Skepple for years has been literally one of the best players in the world - to say his reputation is not as good as some others is insane - Skep is in the 1% of performance - i remember years past seeing him overall number 1 in events - we have known each other for years - you included
In events?
Because he felt like interfering about something that doesn't concern him, replying to me when I did not mention him once. I'm sure he's able but don't use events as proof lol, I have been a top the events leader boards multiple times in the past and every time someone brings it up to flatter me I cringe because it literally means nothing.
you remind me of Mitch in a way - always downplaying great accomplishments - you say it means nothing and in reality you are correct in that ALL OF THIS means nothing - this is a videogame world to begin with - so i hear you it does mean nothing in the grand scheme of things - that all being said, what you and Skep have done and do are great accomplishments compared to the average MLB gamer
Mitch would never act like this lol
So how am I acting? All I said to begin with is that Demise has a point and it all escalated from there because I chose to side with the guy instead of the easier thing to do which is bash him and make fun of him for bringing this up all the time, like most people do around here. It annoys me because people like that are part of the problem. Without the willingness to critique this stuff will never change. Some might be okay with that, but in my opinion that's a loser point of view. Not just for this game but life in general.

The guy is like 140-12. He doesn't see it very much but he sees it.
So according to my theory you most likely live a few hours from a server and have internet so crappy that all your games connect to the same server. Therefore, you may see the same speeds all the time. Weens (yet another top player) is right next to the NY server and likely never connects to any other server. Ray Cheesy (what 20x flawless player) lives a few hours from Chicago server and I would bet my house he rarely, if ever, connects to another server. Same thing with Playful. Pitching_rebel (miami server).
See a pattern here? Close to server with internet so bad the game won't connect you to any other server. Meanwhile, I'm getting matched up with people from Hawaii, east coast, west coast and Australia. I couldn't tell you what the normal speeds are for all star, HOF and legend. I see different speeds all the time.I've been researching this and trying different things for years. Slowest pitch speeds I've seen are not on wired fiber, 5g, 2g or vpn but on mobile hot spot. Hot spot most likely connects me to the Chicago server most of the time but I am still an 8-9 hr drive from there.

All I'm trying to do and have been trying to do on these forums is advocate for a better game. Yes, sometimes things get a little spicy in the pursuit of that, because of the blatant ignorance some people have regarding the most severe issues this franchise has. I have always fought for that and will continue to do so, because in the end I want this game to be good. If someone has to come out and say the bad stuff, I don't mind doing that. Never have and never will. But to bash on a man (Demise in this case) just because you think he's a broken record even though his point of criticism is VERY legit, that doesn't sit well with me and I will call you out for it. I don't care if you're Skepple, The Canuckler, McGunski or Ramone himself.

You just have to sell out on it which makes you extremely vulnerable to everything offspeed once they figure that out, which only takes half an inning if you're playing someone with a brain or some experience in this game.
with all due respect Raes - Skepple for years has been literally one of the best players in the world - to say his reputation is not as good as some others is insane - Skep is in the 1% of performance - i remember years past seeing him overall number 1 in events - we have known each other for years - you included
In events?
Mitch would never act like this lol
mitch was a whiney cringe baby who lost his mind and had other mental issues i am sure - a guy who was truly terrific at the game and always said how bad he was - analogous to being the best golfer in a 4some but then complaining to the other 3 all 18 holes - i personally enjoyed his wit and character - but he was overall a very negative dude - i prefer RAES even though he can be spicy sometimes
i've known some of you guys on this forum for years too so its weird to see you bicker
He’d be taken more seriously (even though it’s still nowhere near as big of a deal as you both make it out to be) if his complaints didn’t come after a loss. But that’s how it goes with most people when you win the game is fine when you lose the game is the worst thing ever. If people don’t like it stop buying and playing it. I used to be a top player in HUT in the early 2010s then I really started to dislike the game so guess what? I stopped playing. Maybe if you all weren’t so addicted your lives would be happier.
Also, when did you finish top 50?

I have never had that happen, I’ve played guys with bad connections from DR, PR, Japan, but still been able to hit ️ sorry that you guys can’t
See now I know you're lying. Because I used to associate with a bunch of top players when I was still good at this game and they all mention this issue as a consistent and unpredictable variable in the online environment of this franchise which pretty much ruins the entire experience.
The inconsistencies in your stories are crazyyy. First it’s all top players and streamers have bad internet so they face slow pitch softball speeds and you face warp pitch speeds, now it’s “well they sometimes experience it but not as much as others” I’ve played all of those guys, never have there been pitch speeds faster than normal and i can guarantee you i don’t live by a server.
