My favorite is the Giants, thrashed them again (18-2) this morning using a lineup of AL East set 2 and 3 cards, I will face all 30 teams as my method for working through TA3 seeing that mini seasons 3 is a complete mess.
Do MTO instead. You won't be sorry.
I saw you say that before. I went thru online and offline single modes and absolutely could not figure out what you meant by it. What is it?
ps Giants are my fav team to pick on as well, @samguenther1987
March to October. In the menu below DD. Don't do it offline though (it can be played offline). You won't get the points for TA if you do. The game has to sync with TA in order to award the points, and TA is only online.
Hey! What is this wizardry! When you said ‘online’, my mind went straight to 15 straight pitches in the dirt and bunt doubles! However, since you recommended it I went ahead and fired it up…and to my complete and total surprise it’s not populated by cheesers at all! This looks to be an offline type of experience but it’s online? I’m in awe of this…and you say this is one of the more efficient modes to complete xp, get rewards, etc? I picked rookie per your mention elsewhere and have found it to be quite fun and not stressful at all so far! Brother, I thank you yet again!
No - it's not online. It's completely offline vs CPU, but to get the points for TA you need to make sure you are online, so it can sync the points to TA. If not, you'll lose them...take it from someone who knows...

You have to start mto outside of DD correct? I don't see the option anywhere inside DD. Just want to make sure I don't waste my time.
Yes, it's in the menu system below DD.

Haha if you could have seen the smile leave my face after my first game and all these decisions about what salary I’m going to pay my team our scouts lol! I was totally the ‘wah-waah-waaaaaah’ game show moment and make no mistake…but I soldiered on and it wasn’t too bad…yet. I wonder, am I going for complete games here (the starter, I should say) or am I supposed to be trying to use the players the cpu is warming up? I didn’t like their choices so far in both games I’ve played (by the way, it’s only partial games it’s a really cool mode!), so I used the players I wanted to…but then if this is about development maybe I should not?

I struggle with MTO though, it just seems so rigged for you to lose, i traded for Ian Happ, he proceeded to hit 3 perfect perfects right to the wall only to be caught each time. For some reason this mode hates me. I would much rather win 5 against the cpu in mini seasons then put up with the cpu do everything it can to make me lose.

Now that’s very interesting - I’m having the complete opposite experience but then I’m using the Mets my first time thru and playing only on rookie so far haha! I had a bad feeling too when my first game (which started 2-2 in the 7th) went 14 innings and ended 3-2…except I got the win! Oh I was abysmal playing locked at 2B with Jeff McNeil lol except I went 4-4 somehow but we got destroyed that game due to my 4 errors at Second lol Still yet it rewarded me with an upgrade boost I guess due to the hitting. I also find this mode extremely immersive - it’s undoubtedly due to my never having played he game as much as most but it’s been a nice change of pace!

Don't worry about what the CPU wants. Play who you want. It doesn't matter because, after the last game, it all resets. You get points for winning, the better your record, the better your points. I don't even bother with development or trades (unless it's someone I really need).

Yah i take back what i said, i was just frustrated. It is actually really fun, playoffs especially. I have the Dodgers 3 outs away from the World series.

OMG. I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice this.
I only played it for the 5 star off-season trophy, and the Postseason one.. It was "heck" on ROOKIE!! It got so bad that I dropped the difficulty to Minors, I think. Then I did 2 seasons to get Season 3 XP. One Mets and one Angels. The fun is fleecing teams of their top players. I 'stole' Realmuto for the Mets, and Trea Turner for my Angels season.
I did finally pass the 'Finish the no-hitter' mission, first time in 3 Show games, lol.
I really despise this mode now. -

Oh this is just scandalous…I love it! It never even crossed my mind that I might be able to pull off some kind of highly advantageous trade…I figured I’d be stuck getting offers for minor leaguers only. I’m going to start paying attention to this…I noticed that both verlander and Diaz aren’t available to use but I’m unsure if the game is reverting to what the rosters were like at the start of the season, or if it’s part of the mode of play and they’ll be trickled in as the season progresses? I thought if I’m only doing a single season I might trade Edwin Diaz if I can’t use him and get me someone gooood

I was trying to wrap up affinity 3 on my last remaining divisions this morning. Played on Rookie at Coors and scored 45 runs. Gary Sanchez went 9 for 9. Three others went 7 for 9. Still gave up a run.

I’ve got a question about the end game reward and progress screens. When I play on DD I think it’s the last page that shows your progress in the repeatable team xp program but when I finish a game in MTO it doesn’t show any progress towards anything. I’m making sure that it’s connected each time before I start the mode. I got to DD then back out to the main screen and then open it from there. Am I doing something wrong you think or does it even show the progress at all I wonder. I’m hoping that I’m still getting credit for it but haven’t checked. Not sure that I’d even know at this point lol

You get your points at the all star break, end of the regular season, ALDS/NLDS win, ALCS/NLCS win, and world series. When you get to those points, a screen will tell you how many points you earned. Then, when you go into TA and look at the division you were working on, you will see your points increased by that much (across all unfinished seasons for that division). For rookie, you can earn up to 42,500 points, and more if you play at a higher difficulty. It's not for me, but if you play on legend, your potential points are 97,500 - or about 2/3 of the program. @BxnnyMxn__PSN

Always. If you haven't downloaded my TA 1 spreadsheet, I have a table for MTO and a drop-down on each division to give max points per level. I'd offer TA 2, but I'm working in TA 2 and every day I add something fun to the spreadsheet... (actually, I took a break to finish the AS program, but I'll get back to TA 2 soon). I mean, if you want TA 2, you can have it too, but I keep finding things I want in it, so it keeps changing. @BxnnyMxn__PSN
