Captain boost mega FAIL

I just played the A’s (kudos to @Blind_Bleeder for the suggestion) hoping to grind out some Captain stats for this current program and throttled them 25-3. I kid you not I just went 0 for 6 with Buck O’Neil, my team captain hahaha that might be some kind of record. Did I mention it was on rookie level at the sandlot? Well, I didn’t want to.
For shame!

My favorite is the Giants, thrashed them again (18-2) this morning using a lineup of AL East set 2 and 3 cards, I will face all 30 teams as my method for working through TA3 seeing that mini seasons 3 is a complete mess.

I saw you say that before. I went thru online and offline single modes and absolutely could not figure out what you meant by it. What is it?

Do you mean Dilithium Crystals aren't good enough? I mean, they can stabilize an anti-matter reactor...you'd think they'd work. I know the ones on Earth won't do, but maybe Mars? Maybe Kyber Crystals will do it. They can focus energy down to a tight beam. C'mon, tell your son not to give up so easily. Gene Roddenberry and George Lucas wouldn't have mentioned them, if they didn't work. Right?

March to October. In the menu below DD. Don't do it offline though (it can be played offline). You won't get the points for TA if you do. The game has to sync with TA in order to award the points, and TA is only online.

I just pitched a Perfect Game vs. the Mariners, with 2 relievers, with no captains. I pitched Trivino and Bundy for Classics XP! It was only on Veteran, so I'm not gloating, but in a small park, I think it means something. This happened earlier in the game. Oops.

I just realized something about my big 0-6 game with the Cap’n…I had at least one perfect/perfect for everyone in the lineup except for O’Neil and the crazy part is that I think it was the first time I went an entire game without making a single p/p out…that’s definitely a first

I went 0-4 with Captain Crawford. I used Ohtani to pinch hit for him and got a FC. Sometimes that's the way it goes.

We’ve decided to try and prototype our own Energon Cubes. We’ve been met with limited success at this stage…but then again mark1 was only a milk crate with a 9-volt battery taped to the inside but HEY.….we’ll get there

Hey! What is this wizardry! When you said ‘online’, my mind went straight to 15 straight pitches in the dirt and bunt doubles! However, since you recommended it I went ahead and fired it up…and to my complete and total surprise it’s not populated by cheesers at all! This looks to be an offline type of experience but it’s online? I’m in awe of this…and you say this is one of the more efficient modes to complete xp, get rewards, etc? I picked rookie per your mention elsewhere and have found it to be quite fun and not stressful at all so far! Brother, I thank you yet again!

You have to start mto outside of DD correct? I don't see the option anywhere inside DD. Just want to make sure I don't waste my time.

No - it's not online. It's completely offline vs CPU, but to get the points for TA you need to make sure you are online, so it can sync the points to TA. If not, you'll lose them...take it from someone who knows...

Haha if you could have seen the smile leave my face after my first game and all these decisions about what salary I’m going to pay my team our scouts lol! I was totally the ‘wah-waah-waaaaaah’ game show moment and make no mistake…but I soldiered on and it wasn’t too bad…yet. I wonder, am I going for complete games here (the starter, I should say) or am I supposed to be trying to use the players the cpu is warming up? I didn’t like their choices so far in both games I’ve played (by the way, it’s only partial games it’s a really cool mode!), so I used the players I wanted to…but then if this is about development maybe I should not?

I struggle with MTO though, it just seems so rigged for you to lose, i traded for Ian Happ, he proceeded to hit 3 perfect perfects right to the wall only to be caught each time. For some reason this mode hates me. I would much rather win 5 against the cpu in mini seasons then put up with the cpu do everything it can to make me lose.

Now that’s very interesting - I’m having the complete opposite experience but then I’m using the Mets my first time thru and playing only on rookie so far haha! I had a bad feeling too when my first game (which started 2-2 in the 7th) went 14 innings and ended 3-2…except I got the win! Oh I was abysmal playing locked at 2B with Jeff McNeil lol except I went 4-4 somehow but we got destroyed that game due to my 4 errors at Second lol Still yet it rewarded me with an upgrade boost I guess due to the hitting. I also find this mode extremely immersive - it’s undoubtedly due to my never having played he game as much as most but it’s been a nice change of pace!
