Lmao it's just filled with dudes who said "sorry you lost" whenever someone complains. What a weird community dude. No wonder the game never improves.
Money talks BS walks. You’re the one that keeps buying it every year, devoting money and hours of your life to the game and forum. If it was really that bad you wouldn’t buy it and play anymore, somehow that never seems to happen though..

Maybe you should improve? You stopped playing dd competitively at high levels you say? You’re 9-8 this ranked season, best season 836.. I struggle to think you’ve ever played this game “competitively” comp guys are reaching 1200+ in ranked in a season. Somehow I don’t think that’s a level you’ve ever played at. So yea, forgive me when I say sorry you lost when you lost your last 2 games before commenting.

This is a hodgepodge of remarks covering various comments I read in this thread so forgive me it comes across as a bit erratic and all over the place.
While I wouldn't go so far as to say the game is "trash" or "unplayable", there are absolutely significant issues that SDS needs to address.
Baseball is a very random game IRL, so I have no qualms with having a "perfect/perfect" be a line out or deep fly caught at the track and a late hit end up a HR. It happens daily in EVERY game played in the MLB all the way down to LL.
By no means am I stating that skill plays no part, as it certainly does. The ability to recognize, track, time, and place the barrel of the bat on a pitch is very much a skill but result has so many variables involved that calling it random is the only appropriate term. Those variables are probably fewer IRL than the virtual but exist nonetheless.
For ease of explanation, in RL, you have the pitcher's skill level, the batters skill level, and the weather. In the virtual you have the attribute level of the pitcher, attribute level of the batter, the viewing method (TV/Monitor), controller (wired/Bluetooth), internet (LAN/WiFi), server status & congestion, the human controlling the virtual players involved skill level, hand eye coordination, vision, reflexes, multiplied by 2, and on and on it goes increasing the randomness significantly.
There will probably never be a true simulator available to the masses so companies do the best they can with the means available.
Comparing this game to others that are used for competitive play like Madden, MLBTS is absolutely on a higher level IMO because of the randomness involved. There are no real glitches that can be used by a player and repeated time and again to gain a competitive advantage. You can't throw deep every play and "Moss" your opponent in MLBTS, you can't drop your QB back 20 yards on every passing play and still outrun the D just because of the player you are using, or run the same 4-5 offensive plays the entire game. Anyone who has ever watched a video of a Madden tournament knows this is exactly what happens every single game and there is no equivalent of that playing style in any way, shape, or form in MLBTS.
Most games in MLBTS are evenly matched from a virtual standpoint. Both players will have comparable rosters and will more or less suffer the same outcomes of randomness. Whether it is a "perfect/perfect" line out or a late HR, both will get the benefit or misfortune throughout the course of the game in most instances.
I'm not saying the game is perfect by any stretch. Far from it in fact, but the issues involved are not things that cause the game to be "trash" or "unplayable". I know it will never happen, but I believe it would be in the best interest of SDS to take a year off from releasing a new version and really focus on ironing out all the kinks and taking a deep dive in to overhauling the "mechanics" of the game. The graphics are great, the servers have been significantly improved, the content is far more than adequate, the actual gameplay, overall, is slightly above average but has plenty of room for advancement.
BTW, I am not some SDS schill nor an SDS hater. I've played the show since its debut and have played online since the feature became available and seen the good and the bad. The good still outweighs the bad but the game absolutely needs some work.

The great thing about these posts is how many people will say the game is trash or has been trash since 20 or 21 or whatever year. How dumb do you have to be to keep coming back? I could see coming back after 1 year hoping you would have more fun, but if the game hasn't been working out for you since 20 you are now on your 4th year. I think there is a quote about insanity that could be inserted here.
You made a post in early June about how this is the worst state of the game in franchise history.... tf are you talking about lmao!?!?
Wow you really are a bit slow aren’t you? I was replying to another dopey post about how this was the worst game ever. I didn’t start the thread, I was replying to the post. My reply was that this is the best version of the game since 17.

He also doesn't seem to know much about baseball. Batters make perfect contact on pitches all the time that result in lineouts or deep fly outs. Also batters hit home runs on pitches they were early or late on. Happens pretty much every game.

I know it will never happen. That doesn't mean it would not benefit the product though.

You just concentrate on getting better - it’s frightening now but I assure you that you’ll get your mojo back before you know it! Just throw yourself into the rehab with all the dogged determination that we all know and respect you for. You will conquer and overcome! I assure you that you’ll be in the prayers of my wife and I both morning and night until I read that you’ve made your return! God Bless you man!
