Why can't I use set 3 players in TA3 mini seasons?

When I enter the TA3 mini season and go to edit roster, any set 3 player I choose is my wildcard, thus I can't choose more than one set 3 player

I think the restrictions are to Core, Captain and TA 3 unlocks only?

No matter who I choose mine goes to unhandled exception server error.

Did you all try to reset your modems and unplug your consoles for ten seconds?

One thing to try is have the CPU generate a “best” squad and edit from there.
