Conquest Insanity

The key to destroying the CPU is simple but annoying. Be patient and once you start hitting, it becomes BP. But if you make quick outs, the pitcher becomes a lot more challenging. Do I know this to be fact. Of course not, but it seems to work for me. I definitely have my fair share of 1-0 games and it’s because I swung swing at the first pitch over and over. Even if I make solid contact, it’s like it’s punishing me for not being patient.
I beat Bobby Miller 9-0 on AS in Conquest with a bunch of FS scrubs and then the next game beat him 1-0. Consistency lol

All-Star is the easiest difficulty. I'll win a game on Rookie 1-0. I can score double digit runs on All-Star more times than not.
No Idea why, and I don't care enough to explore it further.
This 100%

Here we are again. What angers me, albeit probably unnecessarily, is that this [censored] is being done and the devs will never admit it. The conquest sliders are completely altered. I’ve been playing for years. I’m legit good. It’s not that it’s hard. But these Rookie games are still ending 1-0 or 2-0. The timing is consistently good, PCI spot on. And the ball goes nowhere. It’s rookie. Rookie. The devs are rigging this so we can’t stat grind. So we all spend more time logged in. That’s the motive. I think all I want is my theory validated. Nothing has to change. But I feel like I’m going nuts with this [censored]. It’s the principle of the matter that’s the most frustrating.
Showdown pretty much is its own difficulty also. I've pretty much given up on both as they seem to be 40% luck 60% skill

I played the Conquest today, although I played on Veteran.
Won 1-0
Won 4-0
Won 2-0
Won 14-1 (Take that Yankees)
Won 9-1
Won 6-0
Won 8-0If anything I played better in this conquest than I have in any of the others.

Never had luck playing "rookie" on anything. I hate when Moments are locked on rookie, and I never play conquest on rookie. Just for the reason mentioned above. Hitting sucks. Always has been. I play on AS so my timing is good and the ball jumps off the bat. Occasionally Veteran, but my hitting is never better on vet, just easier to not give up runs.

It's not the sliders... some games you just play better than you do others... I legit played Mini Seasons against the same team in the usual two game series and won the first game 7-0 pitching a perfect game or no-hitter, and lost the second game 2-1 in extras... I left my starter in to get as much PXP for him for a mission when I should've just took him out and pitched him in conquest to get the last of the PXP.
Similar thing happened in Conquest... I lost the first stronghold game 2-1 in extras and then won the second game immediately after and won like 4-0 or something like that.

Yep, I've had 1-0 Extra Innings sweat fests and I've chased the starting pitcher off mound after scoring 5 runs on 5 pitches. Some days your the bug, some days your the windshield.

Same. It's annoying. I'll have games that I'll rake, then I'll go through a 5/6 game stretch where no matter my approach, patient or anxious...nothing falls in, power dwindles, and it's just not hitting. my fielders get stuck in mud. Especially my middle infielders who have diamond defense. They can't get to anything up the middle but when I'm raking they get to everything. Rookie and veteran. I don't get it.
2 weeks ago, doing the USA map, I literally lost 8 games in a row to the Marlins who took over the majority of the SE region. No matter what i played on. Rookie or veteran. Game scores like 2-1 1-0 etc etc...and the games I did score, the Marlins would come back in every game. Anything I could do, they could do better. Insanity. Fouling of pitches, diving stabs, leaping catches at the wall, coming back from 3 runs down 3 times in a row..... ughh

While I think moments may have some shenanigans I'm not so sure there are any in conquest. I've always felt it easier to hit on Veteran than Rookie but overall I think the human element plays a bigger role. I have days where I'm not that into playing but need to grind the stats and I find a slight lack of focus along with hurry up and grind stats attitude leads to a lot of 1 - 0 games. When I'm in the mood to enjoy the game I can put up 6-12 runs.
Sure there is an element of randomness to it but that has to be there. I'll use the same pitcher and as a result face the same pitcher a couple times when stealing fans. One game I'll lump him up the next he's shutting me down. That's baseball.

I usually play on Veteran but for the heck of it played a game vs Houston on rookie. The game went 7 innings before I finally won 3-1. The ball just moves so slow I can’t time it.
