99's day one (if you buy stubs)
-
When they announced 99s day one I wasn't expecting 90% of them to be locked behind a paywall. Yes, you can make stubs without buying them, but let's face it SDS REALLY wants you to buy them.
This year is inching closer and closer to EA level of BS. Making all of the program cards account bound was a terrible idea and had the effect that the stubs you used to make off of them are now just gone. But don't forget, you can always buy more stubs.

Oh, ok. Thanks for the info.

Sds literally gives out free 99s and free packs free stubs

Sure they do but let's be honest, they release far more 99's in packs where you have to gamble 40K stubs just to have a small chance of pulling them.
Season 2 has a boss pack with five 99 overall players and the season runs roughly 8 weeks.
In that same time span they release 16 Duo packs with a total of thirty-two 99 overall cards in them.
16 packs times 40K cost = 640K stubs with the likelihood not seeing any of the actual 99s, and even then that only gives you a shot at one of the two that they release every week.

I think the complaints are a little extreme. I’ve been able to get any card I’ve wanted and still have 700k saved without spending any money on stubs. And I have multiple boss packs just sitting in my inventory that could be sold.
I feel like the people who are really complaining are either bad at saving stubs or think they should be able to have every card in the game without winning or doing much.
I think it’s good it’s a little tougher to get every card. Previous years you could pretty much get any card with less than an hour of grinding. I think that’s a big reason why a lot of people quit playing in July. No challenge, nothing to work towards.

Far more players have quit early this year due to frustration than in previous years due to boredom.

Not at all. Just sell what I get out of packs and play the game. Ranked, conquest, and mini seasons.

I haven't bought a single stub or flipped a single card and I have plenty of 99s.

People play the game for different reasons. One of those reasons is a card collecting game. We are all entitled to our opinions so for you to say those people are wrong for wanting every card in the game makes you the one who is wrong. In the past this was a goal for many players, including myself. This year has made that impossible without being a super elite player, living on the game 24/7, or dropping lots of real money. I agree the gameplay is an upgrade but the market is a huge downgrade.

I'm not a a great player but I have an all 99 team with a fee lucky pulls
Most of my team has been built just playing the game, RS, BR and the offline stuff.
I don't rush anything as I finished TA 1 a week into season two, TA2 I am 60-80% done TA 2 depending on division.
I know what I'm am capable of and not capable, I know I can't make WS so why worry about a God squad so I just build teams to complete task. Yes are there cards I wish I had that are to expensive 100% but I like that when I play online I do not see the same meta team every game.
Do I agree that SDS seems to be pushing so more microtransactions yes, do I blame then nope and when I hear content creators and streams let complain about it I have to laugh considering they are making their money off the back of someone else's work.
This game needs so additional and fixes but it's not nearly as a terrible game as many make it out to be

SDS seems to have a strange almost cult like following that will defend their actions no matter what. They love to say things like at least they aren’t Madden or EA. Or it’s still the best sports game out there. While that may be true if the apologists keep nodding along with each move made it will be very Madden like sooner than later. It really is okay to call them out for doing something questionable and still support the company on the whole.
-
The Chase cards are literally the only ones behind a pay wall lol…So because 3 or 4 cards are that way you think the game is pay to win?

You have to keep in mind that a large segment of the people playing this game didn’t pay a single penny to play this game. Sure Microsoft paid a free to put the game on GamePass but the fee is likely a drop in the bucket compared to sales lost. If the company feels the need to make additional revenue there is a possibility this is the reason.

Where is the proof of this? How in the heck do you know who has quit this game and who hasn’t? I find this issue to be common with you, make some absurd statement and expect the community to just take your word for it. Just because someone say it in the forum doesn’t actually mean it’s the case. I see a lot post where people claim to be quitting and then read a post from the same person a day later stating the same thing from the previous day. How about we stick to the facts of the argument rather than introducing conjecture just because it suits your agenda.

I have an idea, if you don’t like the game stop playing. There are hundreds of other games you can take a stab at rather than wasting your time assuming everybody, except the games “homers”, think the exact same way as you. You and and your childish haters make this community toxic and I’m sure I’m not the only one here who thinks this. Difference is I’m not going to assume anybody shares the same view as me. Big difference in the way I word things than you do.

Nope the Chase cards are not behind a paywall either because you can earn a chase pack in any single pack that you can get for free. I’ve earned 5 chase packs this way this year. Never once purchasing a single 50 pack bundle. But your point is valid.

Already addressed that exact same thing.

Feel free to block me if you don’t like my opinion. I’m going off from numerous posters on this forum and vids on you tube that can see the writing on the wall. You two guys are 2 of the biggest SDS supporters on the entire forum. They can do no wrong on your end and are the best company ever. While SDS isn’t EA they have clearly made a calculated shift to increase microtransactions. It’s been pointed out numerous times by numerous posters that getting the best cards in the game is much more difficult than it has been since 2018. The grinding argument is crazy because time is worth something to all of us. You guys keep living in fantasy land though and I will remain a realist. Bottom line I enjoy the game but not nearly as much as in years past and the grind is exhausting, discouraging and largely unrewarding. Voicing concerns gets a lot more accomplished as far as change in the game moving forward as opposed to just relentlessly singing their praises. You aren’t gonna change my mind and I’m not going to change yours so let’s just agree to disagree and move on.
