One way I figured I'll get to use more of the different cards in the game that I collect (nearly all of them) and to keep the team fresh is to try a bunch of ways to get a more random team that can be selected from a random wheel website. The most generic is to put all the teams and just pick from each team, but there are more creative ways. Here's some of what I came up with...

    • List of Captains (one wheel for batting captains and another for the pitching captains and fill the team cards that receive their boosts)
    • BR-Style (3x Diamonds, 4x Golds, 9x Silvers, 8x Bronzes, and 2x Commons)
    • Native Country/State (Where they were born)
    • Jersey Numbers
    • Last Initial
    • First Name
    • Card Series
    • Birthday Month
    • Height
    • Age (thanks @genopolanco_PSN)
    • Era (thanks @genopolanco_PSN)
    • World Series Teams of a specific year (thanks @Ericulous1_PSN)

Do you have any other (maybe better) ideas?

Ok, I love these. When I started in 2021, I really didn’t know what I was doing in DD until I watched a video on Team Affinity and team builds and how to maximize missions etc. I love roster building so I dove in and have used a similar approach ever since. For offline grinding I use 6 rosters, 1 for every division and can rotate guys in and out based on missions or when I acquire new cards.

When I wanna mix it up I’ll Google “baseball wheel spin” and spin the wheel 3-4 times and use only players from those teams.

It gets nerdier. I started testing my knowledge of baseball history. I’ll do a year wheel spin from 1903-present and whatever year comes up, I can only use guys from the teams who played in that World Series. Obviously I wouldn’t have enough if I only used guys who played in that World Series so I open it up to anyone who played at least a year with one of those teams.

Example- I just spun 1991 so I can only use guys who played for either the Braves or Twins at one time.

The wheel spin has endless possibilities, it’s just a nerdy fun way to be creative in team building.

Thanks for the other ideas...we have 5 more weeks before another round of TA. So I definitely need several new ways of making teams in the mean time!

I think I am going to incorporate this wheel thing (wheelrandom.com is what I am using) into selecting which stadium to play in as well.

The bad thing (in my opinion) about the WS teams idea is that the Mariners is the only team left to not ever make it to the WS!
