Well since we’re playing the smarty pants game. Alomar and Puckett were discontinued mid 2021 because of off the field sexual assault allegations. Had nothing to do with rights or who they added. I’m pretty sure Andruw Jones received the same treatment. Jon Lester retired.

It literally is, SDS formed as a merger of 989 and Red Zone.

Chipper, Ripken and Green aren’t considered cover athletes. Ortiz was cover athlete for the first game in 2006. If Chipper and Ripken are cover athletes why weren’t they in the cover athlete program last year? Did you forget the program from a whole year ago? Ortiz was in it as for he is an actual cover athlete. Same with Vlad Sr. Not a cover athlete thus not in the program last year.

Your point is irrelevant. He was removed for sexual misconduct and another Indian was found to put in his place that also played for Toronto and even played a season in San Diego they can make a card for. One who comes and goes from the game like Shawn Green has been in and out of the game. Andre Dawson has also come and gone so it isn’t just former Blue Jays. Some of us can actually remember almost everything unlike the other guy who can’t remember a cover athlete program from last years game.

As I stated before there aren’t 500 plus legends and the list isn’t continuously growing. There are literally less now than in 2020 by the count of ~20. The makers of this game isn’t going to hand over all their profit to former players. They are a for profit business. Derek Jeter is expensive and so are Sosa and MdGwire. It’s great they added them and removed several non legends they claimed were legends but just former players.

Chipper, Ripken and Green aren’t considered cover athletes. Ortiz was cover athlete for the first game in 2006.
