I love the cards, but I have no idea who the hell I am using and also no names under the player icons in the field when your team is on defense. The names aren't on the scoreboard, or back of jerseys either. Awful idea

They just implement everything without thinking. It's been all year. Can't wait until set 3. Games gonna catch on fire

some of those players weekend ones were good, I liked Boxbergers

I really do think of these cards as the games version of players weekend jerseys. Not that I see the names since my jerseys have no names.

I really do think of these cards as the games version of players weekend jerseys. Not that I see the names since my jerseys have no names.
I imagine that was the inspiration. The big difference, however, is that "player's weekend" only lasts... a weekend. I'm hoping SDS sees the reaction this has had and makes a similarly wise choice to bring back normal names to our box scores next week.

I totally agree.
I get that they're trying to be "cheeky" and "fun" with these but c'mon, I don't know how they thought this was something that would get over with their core audience.
It's hard to believe since I've always held SDS in high regard when it comes to giving players what they want but did they suddenly become ridiculously out of touch with their core fanbase this much?

And it only lasted a couple years and poof vanished. I just hope this isn’t MLB telling us it’s coming back through the game. I wasn’t the biggest fan to be honest of it in reality nor in the game.
