How did you do during the flash sale?

I wish I would’ve had more stubs. I had 246k and bought 7 Bob Gibson”s for at an average price of 21k. Turned around and sold them for 35k and I also bought 6 Trevor Hoffmann”s for an average price of 14k that I haven’t sold yet. I can sell them now for 22k each but I think the price will be going up higher on them.
Also I wish I would’ve known about the flash sell before hand. I would’ve sold my team and bought back for a pretty good discounts. What about you guys? How did you fare during the fire sales?

Earlier today I believe it was 3PM-6PM central. A lot of cards tanked.

They probably did it on Thursday this week as they are probably taking the day off tomorrow for a four-day weekend!

No idea. First flash sale on a Thursday I can recall. To answer the OP, I invested quite a bit. Haven't sold yet. Don't see anything on the schedule for a week so don't expect any surprises. Prices should only go up. Plus there might be a stubb sale this weekend. Maybe that's why they did a flash sale today as to not have them both on the same day.

I did the opposite. I spent about 150k completing set 1 and getting enough cards for Randy. Then pulled a goldy out of a random pack, so basically broke even

Memorial day weekend, only thing that comes to mind is a stub sale tomorrow

Bought cards I wanted and nearly pulled the trigger on a bunch of times. Got Hoffman, Roki, Elly, the Ripken 99 and 99 Edwin Diaz. Might sell depending how high they get back to, but all cards I’ve wanted so figured I’d get at such a low price.

Bought 3 cheap Francisco Alvarez. 2 HRD Vlads, 1 HRD Ryan Howard. They will turn a nice profit. Now hoping for the stub sell to really drive their prices up.

What cases a flash sale and do peces typically rebound? Invested over a 100k into the core collection and as of now taking a huge loss lol.

LS collection cards, esp this year, probably not a wise investment. The cost to complete this has been steadily declining which has, historically, not be the case by this point in the season. Trout and those gatekeeper type cards usually hold value well into late June. They may spike up a bit with a stub sale but I wouldn't expect a big return if they do.
I was busy during this flash sale so my purchases were down compared to how I usually spend but I still dropped about 1.5M into WBC trout, roki, ohtani, HRD vladdy, and a sprinkling of other cards. I could sell all right now and profit 400-500K but I'm waiting to see if we get a stub sale this weekend.

I’ve not been too successful “investing” in my DD career, I don’t follow all the ebbs and flows of the game enough.
I decided to dip my toe in the water (again). Bought a few 92+ cards at QS prices. If they go up because of stub sale, I’ll make something. If they don’t, I can always QS and get my stubs back.
Either way, it’ll be a learning experience for me.

I'm on this website pretty much daily. How come I never seem to know about flash sales? Can't they advertise it better? I get a message every time an item I put up sells, why can't they alert me to a flash sale? Very frustrating.

I 10000000% agree with this statement. I feel the exact same way, had no idea this was going on.
Only reason I did was becuz of this post. I guess I have to check the forums daily, hourly, minutely lol
