Don’t forget guys you can park at the Red Lobster by Truist Park and you get a gift card equal to what you pay to park there!

Yeah, but then, you have to eat at a Red Lobster...

That park sucks. Everything from location to parking to watching a game there. Give me the Ted back.

I’m not opposed to shamelessly eating and potentially getting sick from time to time but then again this was all before the pandemic.

    It’s still go Braves

    Yessir

I can’t wait for this to be over to catch some games

Right when I was going to get the Braves package for Extra Innings this year. Bummed me out.

Those games are blacked out for us here.

youre insane. Incredible park, the battery is amazing. I miss the TED but it was way worse to get to and park at. Prepay parking and it is easy and a great park. Get outta here

There’s also wayyy less scalpers while you’re walking to the new stadium. People would set up at the old wall from Fulton County Stadium and bother you all the way down to the gates at Turner Field.

If you can get there early enough. Park in the Red Deck! It is free! Just go in the Battery and drop $50 at a restuarant...that's pretty easy. They will validate your parking ticket and when you leave your parking becomes free! It's actually pretty easy to get out of as well. Sure as hell beats walking back over I75 to get to one of the pay lots.

Getting to the Ted was easy...Atlanta traffic is horrible. Public transit doesn't go to the park...parking is ridiculously expensive and it takes an hour just to park even with prepaid. The park is generic as hell, and I don't care about the battery...I'd like to go to a baseball game, not a shopping mall. It's a bad ballpark to watch a game in. It's easily the 2nd worse ballpark I've been to...though as long as Tropicana Field exists, that will forever be the worst...and it's so much worse than Truist.

Even if they cancel this year’s baseball season, the Braves will still lose in the first round of the playoffs. But also, Go Braves!

Depends on where people are coming from, but for me much easier to get to since i dont have to get on the highway. Parking is super expensive and concessions is worse than the TED I will give you that. But the park is awesome once you are familiar with best ways to get there, park, etc. Uber is best option I have found so far but is chaotic after games. Ive never had an issue taking a long time to park though so Idk about that. I usually (if Im not taking Uber) prepay and go straight to that lot no problem. And prepay prices are a lot cheaper. Trying to show up and find parking is costly.

New park sucks. Minimum 15 minute hike uphill from any parking. Corporate seating has taken most of lower level away, speaking of seating you better like who your sitting next too because you will touch them the whole time. Log jam on the concourse behind home plate, cant get through in a timely manner. All food is on the same main level, so everyone in the stadium is trying to get food/drink at the same time, thereby missing half if not more of the inning. And no, its not easier to get to, plenty of business park streets to navigate through. The Ted was easy off interstate into parking lot within minutes and into stadium within 5. I understand the politics of why the park was built where it was. But it doesn't make it any better to go there. I will though in August to see the A's smash the paper giant that that is now the Cobb Braves.

I’m not paying $75 for an Uber from Decatur. It’s pathetic that for me and my wife to go to one baseball game, it took us over an hour to get to that garbage can, 45 minutes to park (despite driving past 4 blocked off entrances to the lot we eventually parked in), walk about 5 miles (greatly exaggerated), then get to our centerfield seats. Spend an arm and a leg to get a hot dog and soda. Could’ve taken out a loan to get a couple of beers, but I don’t need a buzz that bad. All in all, my wife and I spent around $250 to watch a baseball game. That’s ridiculous. The shady [censored] deal that took the park to Cobb County in the first place was a giant red flag that baseball in Atlanta is going to suck from now on.

I am fortunate enough to be in a position where I can afford such a game, but it’s horrible for the sport to take a baseball team out of their city all for the sake of appeasing a handful of ticket holders. And they could’ve made it a good stadium at the very least. It’s poorly laid out, and the seats I had in centerfield only had one way in and one way out, which means I had to get up every single time a person decided they wanted to go out and every single time they came back in. Sure, it’s convenient if you live in Cobb County, but for the vast majority of the Atlanta area, it’s highly inconvenient.

I mean, no reason you should be sorry...I just don't see how this made any sense to anyone. I've lived in 3 cities with major league parks (Milwaukee, and NYC), and while Citi Field wasn't a short subway trip from my apartment in Harlem, it was easy to get to. Yankee Stadium was a short train ride or a 30 minute walk.

Milwaukee's thriving bar scene has a ton of shuttles that'll take you to and from the game, and parking at Miller Park is super easy anyway.

My wife's from St. Petersburg and I got to see Chris Sale pitch when he was with the White Sox against the Rays...that place is garbage. It's like the strip mall of sports stadiums.

Outside of that, I've been to Dodger Stadium (Traffic sucks, and the ballpark itself is very...fine, not great, not bad), Wrigley (easy public transit, smells like urine), Petco (beautiful park, easy to get to and pretty inexpensive), and Turner (easy to get to from inside the city, decently priced).

I understand that it's a business, but it's frustrating to see professional sports pricing their fan base out of attending live events. Nobody should have to give up a week's pay to take their kids to a baseball game.

So the real issue is you like stadiums with easy public transportation to the games and Atlanta took that away from you. That's fine, makes sense. Doesnt make the stadium bad just makes it less convenient for people that want that option.

Don’t forget guys you can park at the Red Lobster by Truist Park and you get a gift card equal to what you pay to park there!

Yeah, but then, you have to eat at a Red Lobster...

That park sucks. Everything from location to parking to watching a game there. Give me the Ted back.

youre insane. Incredible park, the battery is amazing. I miss the TED but it was way worse to get to and park at. Prepay parking and it is easy and a great park. Get outta here

Oh I dont uber from home, I park at the chiropractic school I graduated from that is 10 mins from stadium. Sounds like you just had a crappy experience, sorry to hear that

Nope. That’s not the only thing that sucks about it. It’s laid out horribly, and everything is extremely compact. I was just pointing at one particular thing.

I’m a Rays fan mainly now, but grew up rooting for the Braves. I call them my national league team now. Very exciting young team. I hope they can keep it together for a while.

I live where they moved their spring training to, so it’s been pretty exciting around here. Unfortunately this stupid virus cut everything short and I didn’t get a chance to catch any games.
