Just for the shell of it

I'm pretty confident nothing matters much in this game as far as win/lose. Player performance and what not.
Was playing a guy today that brought in a 58 reliever in the 8th inning protecting a 1 run league. Might as well have been Clase. I couldn't hit anything for 1 2/3 innings. Balls that just dropped like the laws of gravity had ceased to exist just for the duration of his appearance. It was pretty funny actually.
So, I tried the same tactic in my next game. Replaced 4 of my 97-99 bats with bronze. Just randomly dropped in players. My opponent is as stacked as anyone I've played EVER. Of course, I believe you could only get a complete 99 roster this year (sad and pathetic as it may be). But he's got Ruth, Jones, Murakimi, etc.
I started Silver Syndergaard and he did give up 3 runs in 3 innings. But, I then replaced him with Noe Ramirez (lowest rated pitcher I could find on short notice..63). In nearly 2 innings 'ol Noe gets 2 K's and gives up zero runs.
I take this guy into the 9th, he's got a one run lead and I can just hear the sweat pouring off of him as he's trying to preserve a minuscule lead against my deplorable (ratings wise) team that he literally has a cumulative 200+ card rating advantage over.
He managed to hang on to the win, BUT is just goes to prove ratings mean about as much as controller input in this game..which is zilch.

Everything you said, only proves that you lost an online game.

If you're saying the result is predetermined to give the win to the weaker team, why didnt you win? If you want to see a game where player performance doesn't matter & the winner is randomized during the game, look at NHL 23.

Oh, should I be embarrassed? Should I have kept this little bit of info to myself to keep from disgracing myself?
I don't really give a diddler's duck if I lose games. That's why I do these things just to TRY to keep a very predictable (in it's zany disbursement of funky gameplay) and stale game halfway bearable. I'm still trying to get my $100 worth of enjoyment out it. I'm up to about $33.50. Just don't know if I'll have the patience or enthusiasm to trudge on.
This forum is an outlet for me to vent and actually accounts for about $25 of the $33.50 enjoyment I've gotten so far.

You set yourself up to fail, failed, and still say the game was predetermined.
There’s no point in trying to reason with a conspiracy theorist.

Dubb, ya got me. You are a slick one.

This is a great example of someone that loves to make excuses instead of just maning up and say that they choked. Kinda disappointing

Sounds like a skill issue. Maybe try practice mode to get better?
