How do I chat? Can I use the companion app? I don’t see how else people can text so fast. Thanks for any help!

Hold select and type fast. I agree they need a better chat function

There’s some quick chats you can use on it. Use a headset tho. Or ps5 just talk through the controller. I‘ve talked to about 25% of my random teammates through my controller. Even when they don’t talk back I’ve asked them to do something and they’ll do it a lot of the times.

is there any special settings you need to have on to hear your teammates? I can hear game sound and see mic symbols but cant hear them

Im not sure. I think it’s automatically turned on unless you turned it off. I don’t hear game sounds from my controller at all but can hear my teammates when they talk. The symbol always looks like people are talking even if they aren’t tho.
Once its activated there’s also a mute button on the controller if you need it so they don’t hear you complain about their 8th strikeout in a row
